- অক্ষের কথার সূত্রে বলি- এইখানেই ঝামেলা। হিন্দুধর্মে এইটা হয়েছে, তোমাদের কি হয়েছে? এইটা কিন্তু খুব সচেতন বা ইচ্ছকৃতভাবে করা হয় তা নয়। বহু নাস্তিক বা ধর্মনিরপেক্ষ মানুষ নিজের অজান্তেই এই অবস্থানে চলে আসেন। সেইজন্য আমি আমার আগের একটি পোস্টে বলেছিলাম- ধর্মের তুলনাত্মক বিচারে আমার বিন্দুমাত্র আস্থা নেই। এবং এই জায়গা থেকেই সংখ্যালঘুদের রক্ষণাত্মক ভূমিকার শুরু যার ফায়দা ওঠায় মৌলবীতন্ত্র। ধর্ম, ভাষা, জাতি- এগুলোর ভালো-মন্দের বিচারে যাওয়ার মানে কিন্তু নিজের অজান্তেই অনেকের পা পাড়িয়ে যাওয়া। আমরা প্রত্যেকেই যখন শুভবুদ্ধিসম্পন্ন, তাই তুলনা করার আগে যেন আমরা একটু empathize করি।

- আগে চলত কাউবয় ফিলিম, যারা যেখানে জংলী রেডইন্ডিয়ানের বিরুদ্ধে হিরোর বন্দুক গর্জে উঠত - গুড়ুম।
তারপরে বহুদিন চলেছে "কেজিবি" বা ঐ টাইপের বদমাসের হাত থেকে দুনিয়া রক্ষা করার সিনেমা। তাদের বানানো বোমাগুলোকে জাস্ট নিষ্ক্রিয় করে দেয়া, সেই নিয়ে বীররসাত্মক হলিউডের মারদাঙ্গা ফিলিম।
আর রিসেন্ট বদমাসের তালিকায় ওরা রেখেছে টেররিস্টদের। তারা সব আফগান। একটা আরব টেররিস্ট রাখেনি ওসব সিনেমায়। ওদের মদতদাতা হিসেবে এখনো প্রাক্তন সমাজতান্ত্রিক দেশগুলোকে প্রত্যক্ষ বা পরোক্ষ ভাবে দেখানো হয়। কিন্তু আল্টিমেট লক্ষ্য হচ্ছে মুসলিম টেররিস্টদের দেখানো। যত ঐ সিনেমা দেখবে যুব সমাজ, যারা বেশি বেশি অ্যাকশান ফিলিম দ্যাখে, ইস্কুলের বাচ্চারা, টিন এজাররা, তত ওদের মাথায় এগুলো গেঁড়ে বসবে। ততই ইসলাম ও টেররিজম ওদের মনের মধ্যে সমার্থক হতে থাকবে। সবসময় তো মানুষ, যুক্তি, বা কেন, এইসব প্রশ্ন করে করেনা। ঐ সিনেমাগুলো টিন এজাররা দেখতে দেখতে পরে স্বত:সিদ্ধের মতো মেনে নিতে থাকে।
আজ পশ্চিম ইউরোপে একটা স্কুলের বাচ্চাও যেমন জানে কমুনিজম খুব খারাপ জিনিস। কেন খারাপ, সে প্রশ্ন ওরা করে না। বাবা বলেছে খারাপ, মা বলেছে খারাপ, ইস্কুলের টিচার বলেছে খারাপ। তারা যৌবনে ঢের ঢের বার ব্রেণ ওয়াশড হয়েছে, নানাভাবে। কখন যে ব্রেণওয়াশড হয়েছে, তা তা নিজেরাই জানে না। কিন্তু আসল কাজ হয়ে গেছে। পরবর্তী প্রজন্মকে শৈশব থেকেই ওগুলো শিখিয়ে দেবার কাজ ফিনিশড।

- এ এক্স, আমি যে উদাহরণগুলো দিয়েছি সেগুলো তো ইউটোপিয়া নয়। সেগুলো সত্যিই হয়েছে। কিন্তু কয়েক সেঞ্চুরি ধরে। এক মাস, বা এক বছর বা দশ বছরে এ মিটমাট হবার নয়। আর tolerance with constant discouragement মানে আমরা যে ধরনের আলোচনা করছি? নিশ্চয়ই। ধর্ম থাকছে তাহলে?

- প্রথমে তারেককে একটা মস্ত সেলাম। কিছু ভীষণ সত্যি কথা বলেছিস বলে। তবে কোনদিন মিটবে এই আশাতেই তো লেখালেখি, পথ খোঁজার চেষ্টা।
এবারে বলি সেই পরিচিত গল্পটা। স্বামী রোজ মদ খেয়ে এসে বৌকে পেটায়, আর বৌ ডাক ছেড়ে কাঁদে। একদিন পাড়ার লোক গেল মাতাল স্বামীকে উচিৎ শিক্ষা দিতে, তো বৌ তেড়ে উঠে বলে আমার সোয়ামী আমারে পিটিয়েছে কি কি করেছে তাতে তোমাদের কি গা? তো নীতিবাক্য হল, বিচলিত হচ্ছ ভাল কথা কিন্তু একেবারে মারতে যেও না, যদি না অত্যাচারিত নিজেই কোন অভিযোগ করে। তা এই নীতিবাক্য অনুসারেই আমার বক্তব্য ছিল, প্রতিবাদ বা প্রতিরোধ ভেতর থেকে আসা উচিৎ। কেন সেরকমভাবে আসে না, সেটাও খতিয়ে দেখা উচিৎ, যদি আদৌ আলোচনার ইচ্ছে থাকে। প্রায় একইরকম পরিস্থিতিতে বেড়ে ওঠা, একইসময় ইংরাজদের দ্বারা শাসিত হওয়া কিছু লোক ঠিক কোন জায়গা থেকে আলাদা হয়ে যাচ্ছে, সেটা বোঝার চেষ্টা করা উচিৎ বলে আমি মনে করি। কোন কম্প্যারেটিভ স্টাডির উদ্দেশ্যে নয়।
গুজরাট, ভাগলপুর নিয়ে আমরা যেমন লজ্জিত, দু:খিত একইরকম অনুভুতি কনফুরও তার সেই শিক্ষককে নিয়ে। সেটাই স্বাভাবিক, সুস্থবুদ্ধির মানুষের প্রতিক্রিয়া। সেটাকে অনুকম্পার চোখে দেখা মানে আসলে মানুষের সুস্থবুদ্ধির প্রতি অপমান। এতে যা হয়, তা হল কনফুদের গলাটা কোথায়ও পৌঁছায় না। সর্বত্র প্রচারিত হয় কিছু ভুল মেসেজ, আর তার সাথে সাথে আসে হয় উগ্র প্রতিরোধ নয়ত অনুচ্চ ফিসফিস "থাক থাক বোলো না-- ওরা দু:খ পাবে"। আর এই পুরো ব্যপারটা একটা সাইক্ল এ পরিণত হয়।
এবারে অন্য কথা। এই যে অপশিক্ষা, এটার একটা কারণ হয়ত সামনে কোন উঙ্কÄল ভবিষ্যত না থাকা। যদি আফগানিস্তানের কথা ধরি, তাহলে তালিবানদের আগে সেখানে 'আইনের শাসন' বলে কোন বস্তু ছিল না, এরকম পড়েছি। ফলে প্রথমদিকে তালিবান শাসনকে বহুজনই স্বাগত জানিয়েছেন। এবারে যদি এখনকার পরিস্থিতি দেখি আর আগের কথা তুলনা করি ---- তাহলে দেশের তরুণদের সামনে কোন কিছু আগেও যেমন ছিল না, এখনও তেমনি না। চাষযোগ্য জমির পরিমাণ তেমন কিছু নয়। বৃহৎ শিল্পের অভাবে দেশে মধ্যবিত্ত সেইভাবে তৈরী হয় না। হয় খুব গরীব, নয় ১ টা মুষ্টিমেয় অংশ বিশাল বড়লোক। কেউ সি ই ও হতে চাইলে তাকে দেশ ছাড়তে হবে। মানে কেরিয়ার অপশান অনেক কম। তাই হয়ত সেই তরুণ আঁকড়ে ধরে "বেহেশত" নামের একটুকরো স্বপ্নের ছবি, মৃত্যুর পরে সে যেতে পারবে সেই সব পেয়েছির দেশে।

- তামিল ব্যাঘ্রদের মধ্যে সুইসাইড বম্বার আছে খুব।
দ্বিতীয় বিশ্বযুদ্ধে জাপানীদের মধ্যে সুইসাইড বম্বার ছিল। তাদের বলা হত কামিকাজে বম্বার। আমেরিকানদের একটা গাম্বাট যুদ্ধজাহাজ ছিল সেটা বোম টোম মেরে কিছুতেই কবজা করা যাচ্ছিল না। কিন্তু ঐ জাহাজের একটা অ্যাকিলিস হিল ছিল। ওর চিমনির মধ্যে হাই স্পীডে একটা প্লেন ঢুকিয়ে দিলে পুরো জাহাজে আগুন ধরে যেত। কামিকাজে বম্বারদের কাজ ছিল ঐ জাহাজের চিমমির মধ্যে প্লেন ঢুকিয়ে শহিদ হওয়া।
তবে পৃথিবীর সমস্ত সুইসাইড বম্বারদের মধ্যে মুসলিমের প্রাধান্য বেশ বেশী। এইসব উদাহরণগুলো হল সাউথ ইন্ডিয়ায় মুসলমানদের পণ নেওয়ার মত। পার্সেন্টেজে আসে না।
তবে সুইসাইড বম্বিং যে করতে যাচ্ছে তাকে মানসিকভাবে প্রস্তুত করাটা চ্যালেঞ্জিং। এমনি যুদ্ধে আপনি মরতে পরেন, তবে বাঁচার একটা আশা থাকে। এক্ষেত্রে আপনি জানেন আপনি মরবেনই।

তুমি লিখলে সকল ধর্মগ্রন্থই মৃত। আমার খুব মনে ধরলো। এতো আজে বাজে ছেলেমানুষী অবৈজ্ঞানিক কথায় ও সব ভর্তি যে যারা পুরোটাই অভ্রান্ত অবশ্যমান্য ও ঈশ্বর লিখিত বলেন তাদের আর কিছু বলার থাকে না।
কোনো ভাবেই হ্যারী পটারের আধ্যাত্মিক ব্যাখ্যা চলে না। ধর্মগ্রন্থেরো না।

- দমু, একটা জায়গায় মনে হয় একটু ভুল হচ্ছে। "একইরকম পরিস্থিতে বেড়ে ওঠা, একইসময় ইংরাজদের দ্বারা শাসিত হওয়া কিছু লোক"- এই জায়গাটায়। এই দুই ধর্ম এবং ধর্মসম্প্রদায়ের ইতিহাস, শুধু ভারতের নিরিখেও এক নয় এবং তাই তাদের মনস্তঙ্কÄও এক নয়। এই তফাৎটাকে স্বীকৃতি দেওয়া উচিত।

- কয়েকটা কথা ভাবলাম। দুনিয়ার নানান দেশে বিভিন্ন ব্যাকগ্রাউন্ডের লোক , বিভিন্ন কারণে বিভিন্ন সময়ে ইসলামকে গ্রহণ করেছেন। কেউ স্বেচ্ছায় ভালোবেসে, কেউ রাগে ঘৃণায় অন্য ধর্ম ত্যাগ করে (উদাহরণ আমাদের দেশের এক বিশাল ইসলাম ধর্মাবলম্বী নাগরিক), কেউ জবরদস্তির ফলে, ইত্যাদি ইত্যাদি। এছাড়া বিয়ে করেও লোকে ধর্মান্তিত হয়েছে। যাইহোক, পাশাপাশি দুটি ইসলামিক দেশের মধ্যে হয়ত যুধ্হ মারামারি কাটাকাটি হয়ে চলেছে, মরোক্কো-অ্যালজিরিয়, ইরাক-ইরান, .. কিন্তু বেসিক একটা একাত্মতা ইসলাম ধর্মাবলম্বীদের মধ্যে আছে।
একটা খুব সাধারণ উদাহরণ, যেটা প্রায়য়ই শুনেছি, হয়ত দুই বন্ধুর মধ্যে তুমুল ঝগড়া হচ্ছে, দুজনেই ইসলামে বিশ্বাশী। শেষে যে হেরে যাচ্ছে, সে মরিয়া হয়ে অন্যকে মোক্ষম ট্রাম্প কার্ডটা বের করে দেখিয়ে দেয়, " তুই এমন করলি? তুই না মুসলমান!!!" এটা আল্টিমেট সেন্টিমেন্ট।
এই ধরণের সেন্টি খেতে আর কোনো ধর্মের লোকেদের দেখিনি। য়িহুদী বা খৃষ্টানরা এরকম জাতি ভাষা দেশ নির্বিশেষে এই পর্যায়ে একাত্ম হতে পারে বলে আমার জানা নেই।
একটা অদৃশ্য থ্রেড। কিন্তু শক্ত, দৃঢ়।
বাকি আর সবকটা ধর্মের মতো এরাও নিজেদের ধর্মাবলম্বীদের মারছে কাটছে, কিন্তু তবুও ধর্মের নামে একটা পয়েন্টে ভীষণ একাত্ম।
এবার অন্য একটা ছুটকো গল্প:
সেই ক্লাসমেট নার্গিস কে নিয়ে।
নার্গিস একদিন বাংলার ক্লাসে বলেছিলো, ওরা রবীন্দ্রনাথের আত্মীয়। আমরা অনেকে হাসলাম, অনেকে অবাক হলাম। কেনা জানে রবীন্দ্রনাথেরা ব্রাহ্ম , নার্গিস তো মুসলমান।
সে অনেক আগের কথা। রবীন্দ্রনাথের জন্মের অনেক অনেক পুরুষ আগের গল্প। পারিবারিক সম্পত্তি থেকে দুই ভাইকে বঞ্চিত করার গল্প। জয়দেব আর আরেকজন (নামটা মনে পড়ছে না)ভাই, এরা দূরের গ্রাম থেকে হেঁটে ফিরছিলেন নিজের গাঁয়ে। অন্য ভাই বা জ্ঞাতিরা প্যাঁচ কষল। কোনো মুসলমান সেসময়ে গোমাংস রান্না করছিলো। ব্যাপারটা এমনভাবে করা হয়েছিলো যে জয়দেব আর অন্যভাই এর নাকে সে গন্ধ পৌঁছলো। তারা জানতনা কিসের মাংস। পরে তাদের বিচার হলো, ঘ্রাণেই অর্ধভোজনের অপরাধে তারা জাতি সমাজ ধর্ম সম্পত্তিচ্যুত হলো। এবং জালালুদ্দিন ও কামাউদ্দিন নাম নিয়ে ইসলাম ধ্রম গ্রহণ করে সুখে দিন অতিবাহিত করতে লাগল। সেই জালাল অথবা কামালের বংশের মেয়েই আমাদের সহপাঠিনী।

- 'ঘরে বাইরে' তে এই ধরনের কিছু ঘটনা দেখতে পাওয়া যায়। আশ্চর্য হিন্দু ধর্ম!! কাউকে কাছে টেনে নেবার মন্ত্র শেখায়নি কেন? শুধু তুমি ব্রাহ্মন, আমি শূদ্র, তুমি অচ্ছুত ধোপা মুচি মেথর! তবু বাঙালীদের মধ্যে এসেছিলেন শ্রীচৈতন্য, বিবেকানন্দ, রামমোহন, বিদ্যাসাগর তাই এমন কথা আমরা হয়তো অনেকটা এগিয়ে । কিন্তু আমি দক্ষিনী বা উত্তর ভারতের মানুষের দেখেছি এই ধরনের চিন্তা খুব কম লোকেই করে।
আমি এক জায়গায় পড়েছিলাম যখন একদিকে রামকৃষ্ণ বিবেকানন্দ হিন্দু ধর্ম কে সমৃদ্ধ করছেন সেই সময়েই দলে দলে মানুষ বাংলাদেশ এ ধর্মান্তরিত হয়েছেন। অবশ্যই তাঁদের বাণী সাধারন গরীব তথাকথিত নিম্নবর্ণের কাছে সে ভাবে পৌঁছয়নি।
কিন্তু বিহার ইউপি শুধু কেন অন্ধ্র, তামিলনাড়ু সব জায়গায় এখনো কেমন নির্লজ্জ ভাবে নিম্ন বর্নের হিন্দুদের কে অচ্ছুত বানিয়ে রাখা হয়। লজ্জা লাগে মানুষ হিসেবে।

"বচ্চায়ে সকাও"-কে মনে পড়ে? যাকে তামাম আফগনিস্তানের মোল্লারা উস্কেছিলো ক্ষমতা দখল করার জন্যে? মোল্লাদের কাছে তৎকালীন আমীর আমানুল্লা "কাফির" - কারণ তিনি মেয়েদের ইস্কুলে যেতে বলেন, বোরখা পরতে জোর করেন না - এমনকি এক দল মেয়েকে বিনা বোরখায় তুর্কীতে পাঠিয়ে দেন নার্সিংয়ের ট্রেনিংয়ের জন্যে...মোল্লাদের চেয়ে জ্ঞানী মানুষদের কদর বেশি করেন তাই অন্যান্য দেশ থেকে পণ্ডিতদের আমন্ত্রণ করেন সাহায্যের জন্যে? বচ্চায়ে সকাও ছিলো ডাকাত, সে ওসব তঙ্কÄকথা বোঝে না, তার টার্গেট ছিলো কাবুল লুঠ। ওই একই মোল্লাদের কথায় আফগানিস্তানের সৈন্যেরা বেসিক্যালি কোনরকম প্রতিরোধ করে না...কারণ ওই মোল্লাদের ইন্টারপ্রিটেশনে আমানুল্লা কাফির।
ওই একই দেশে আরেক মৌলবী মীর আসলম - যিনি কিনা বলেন রুশ দেশের মুসলমানদের সে দেশের সরকারের বিরুদ্ধে বিদ্রোহ করা উচিত - তিনি কিন্তু অন্য ইন্টারপ্রিটেশন দেন - আমানুল্লার পক্ষে। উল্টে বলেন "বচ্চয়ে সকাও ওয়াজিব উল্ কত্ল" (অবশ্য বধ্য) - কারণ সে খুনী, ডাকাত।
আমির সিদ্দিকি কেন সাধারণ কলেজে পড়া ছেলে থেকে সুইসাইড বম্বার হয়ে যায়, আর ষোল বছরের সাবিনা বেগম হঠাৎ মনে করতে শুরু করে স্কুলে যেতে গেলে পুরোদস্তুর জিজাব না পরলে সেটা হবে অমার্জনীয় ধর্মীয় অপরাধ - এর পিছনেও সেই ইন্টারপ্রিটেশন।
প্রশ্নটা হল বছরের পর বছর (বচ্চায়ে সকাও গত শতাব্দীর শুরুর দিকে, আর বাকিগুলো হালফিলের ঘটনা) ধরে এই ইন্টারপ্রিটেশন কেন? ঘুরে ফিরে সেই "অরিজিন অব রিলিজিয়ন"-এর দিকে চলে যাচ্ছি না?

তারা এসে ওঠে হোটেল উজবেকিস্তান বলে একটি হোটেলে। ফান্ডিং তাদের নিজস্ব নয়। তাদের ডেকে এনে নেমন্তন্ন করে খাওয়াতে আগ্রহী হয় কিছু বাংলাদেশী ছাত্র।
আমিও বাঙালী। আমিও ভাবি নেমন্তন্ন যখন হচ্ছে আমিও রান্নাবান্নায় হেল্প করব।
তাদের খবর দেওয়া হয় যে আগামীকাল দুপুরে আপনাদের নিয়ে আসব। যেন রেডি থাকে।
শাহীন বলে একটি সিনিয়র ছাত্র ও আমি আদের আনতে যাই হোটেলে।
তারা রিসেপশনে এসে দাঁড়ায়। আমার দিকে ভুলেও তাকাতে পারে না, যেন আমি একজিস্টই করছি না সেখানে।
এরপরে দুটো ট্যাক্সি ডাকা হয়। ওরা চারজন আমরা দুজন, তাহলে তিনজন তিনজন করে দুটো ট্যাক্সি।
মানে পার ট্যাক্সি দুই অতিথি, একটায় আমি, অন্যটায় শাহীন, যাতে আমরা ট্যাক্সিড্রাইভারকে পথ দেখিয়ে নিয়ে যেতে পারি।
ট্যাক্সি এসে দাঁড়ায়। দুজন মোল্লা প্রথম ট্যাক্সিতে পেছনের সীটে গিয়ে বসে। আমি ড্রাইভারের পাশের সীটে বসবার জন্যে দরজা খুলতেই সেই মোল্লা দুজন ক্যাঁও ম্যাঁও করে চেঁচিয়ে তড়াক করে লাফিয়ে ট্যাক্সির বাইরে। প্রথমে কী হলো আমরা বুঝিনি। ড্রাইভার ভেবেছে পেছনের সীটে কোনো বিছে আছে, বা কিছু ফুটেছে। সে চেক করতে উঠলো। আমি ঐ মোল্লাদুজনের দিকে এগোতেই দেখি তারা সরে সরে যাচ্ছে, তাকাতেই পাচ্ছে না আমার দিকে। আড়চোখে তাকাচ্ছে। কী প্রবলেম?
তখন শাহীনকে গিয়ে অভিযোগ জানাচ্ছে যে মেয়েমানুষের সঙ্গে এক ট্যাক্সিতে যাবে না।
কী মুশকিল। তাহলে পথ চিনে যাবে কী করে?
সেই বাঘ-ছাগল-পান নিয়ে ধাঁধাটার মতো ব্যাপার। শেষে, একটা ট্যাক্সিতে আমি আর শাহীন উঠলাম, আর অন্য ট্যাক্সিতে চার মোল্লা চলল আমাদের ট্যাক্সিকে ফলো করতে করতে।
হস্টেলে ঢুকে আমাকে বলে দেওয়া হলো আমি যেন ওদিকে না যাই। এদিকে রান্না সব আমার হাতেই করা। মোল্লারা বারবার করে যেনে নিলো যে কাফেরকে দিয়ে রান্না করানো হয়েছে কিনা, ইত্যাদি।
সবই নাকি চেটে পুটে খেয়ে বিদায় নিয়েছিলো।
তো আমার প্রশ্ন হচ্ছে, ঢাকা থেকে যে ওরা এলো, প্লেনে কি আর কোনো মেয়েছেলে ছিলো না? এয়ার হোস্টেসদের দেখে ওরা কবা ভিরমি খেয়েছে? আর ঐ উজবেকিস্তান হোটেলেই বা ছিলো কিকরে? সেখানেই বা কি খেত? নাকি সেসব জায়গায় শক্তের ভক্ত হয়ে ভিজে বেড়াল সেজে ছিলো?
আমার আশ্চর্য লেগেছিলো ওদের ব্যবহারের চেয়েও বেশী হচ্ছে ঐ বাংলাদেশী চাত্রদের ব্যবহার। তাদের কাছে এটা যেন একটা ন্যাচারাল ফেনোমেনন। তাদের এক বন্ধুকে অনায়াসে ঐ চারটে লোক অপমান করল, অথচ তাদের কোনো ভ্রূক্ষেপ নেই। তারা পূণ্যলোভে ঐ ঘরে ভীড় করেছিলো সকলে। কোনো বাংলাদেশী মেয়ে যায় নি ওদিকে, যদিও তারা সংখ্যায় নগন্য ছিলো।
আমার একটা প্রশ্নের জবাব কেউ দিতে পারেনি, সেদিন ঐ মোল্লারা আমাকে ট্যাক্সিতে উঠতে দেখে অত ভয় পেলো কেন? ট্যাক্সি ড্রাইভারও মুসলমান, সে অব্দি ভাড়ার টাকা নেবার সময় আমাকে জিগ্যেস করছিলো, এরা কারা? পাগল নাকি?

- এই প্রশ্ন আমার ও এক এক দেশে একেক কালচার কেন? আমি ইসলামী দেখেছি মরক্কোর, টার্কীর, ইরানের, বাংলাদেশী, পাকিস্তানি, আফ্রিকান, সোমালিয়ান। এরা এতো আলাদা কেন? সবাই যেন ভিন্ন গ্রহের মানুষ!
তবে সত্যি যো, এটা সম্পূর্ন ব্যক্তিগত অভিজ্ঞতা বাংলাদেশীদের মত এতো হেল্প করতে কোনো ভারতীয় কে দেখিনি।
দুর্ভাগ্যবশত এখন বাংলাদেশী দের মধ্যে ও মোল্লার সৃষ্টি হয়েছে, তবে আমি বহু বহু মানুষ দেখেছি যারা এরকম নয়।
আর বাংলা ভাষার জন্যে তাদের দরদ সত্যি আমাকে স্পর্শ করে ! আজকাল কলকাতায় বাংলা অনেকেই আবশ্যিক বিষয় হিসেবে পড়েনা, না পড়ে পার পেয়ে যায়, কিন্তু যদি বাংলা ভাষা বেঁচে থাকে জানবে এদের জন্যেই থাকবে।

বাকী বক্তব্যগুলোর সঙ্গে আমিও সহমত। গোটা দশবছর প্রচুর বন্ধু পেয়েছি বাংলাদেশের, তারা যাথার্থই বন্ধু। কিন্তু এক্ষেত্রে যেটা বলতে চাইছিলাম, সেটা হচ্ছে, এত কুঁকড়ে যাওয়া কেন? একটা মেয়ে আমি, এত ভয় কেন আমাকে নিয়ে? আমার সঙ্গে এক ট্যাক্সিতে বসলে কী ক্ষতি হয়েযাবে? আর অল্পবয়েসী সেই দ্বিধাগ্রস্থ ছেলেগুলো, যারা জানে ব্যাপারটা ঠিক হচ্ছে না, তবুও ঠিক কি করবে বুঝতে না পেরে মোল্লাদের দর্শন করে এসে, "দিদি রাগ করেন না, কি দরকার মোল্লাদের চটানোর? ওরা তো এসব বোঝে না যে এসব দেশে আমরা কতো ফ্রী..." ইত্যাদি ঠুনকো ভুল যুক্তি দিয়ে আমাকে ভোলানো, নিজেদের ভোলানো। ঠিক কোন নৌকোয় পা রাখাটা সুবিধের সেটা বুঝতে না পারা। যেন মোল্লা তো মোল্লাই, অর্থাৎ একেবারে অবুঝ ছেলেমানুষ আর মোল্লা যেন সমার্থক। অথচ ঐ বুড়িটাও ছুঁয়ে রাখা চাই, বলা যায় না কখন কি হয়ে যায়। অথচ যদি এসবে আমল না দেওয়া হতো, মৌলবাদতো এত স্পীডে মাথা তুলতে পারে না।
একজন ছেলে বলে ওঠে, আপনাদের কোনো হিন্দু পুজারী যদি আমাদের ছোঁয়া লাগলে অসন্তুষ্ট হন, আপনি কি করবেন আপা? কলকাতায় যখন যাই কিছু হোটেল ছড়া বাকি হোটেলে আমাদের রুম দিতে চায় না। আমাদের নাম মুসলমান বলে, জানেন তো?
ছেলেটির প্রথম প্রশ্নের উত্তর সহজ আমার কাছে। আমি সেই অভদ্র পূজারীকে কোনো পাত্তাই দেবো না, কারণ নিজেকে সংস্কারমুক্ত হিসেবে দেখতে ভাবতে অনুভব করতে আমার ব্যাপক লাগে। প্রচার করতেও।
কিন্তু দ্বিতীয় প্রশ্নে আমি ঘা খাই, যে প্রশ্ন সেদিন তুলেছিলো r। এর উত্তর আমি জানি না।

সেই চারটে মোল্লার করা অপমান যেমন লেগেছিলো আমার গায়ে, যে মুসলমানদের হোটেলে জায়গা দেওয়া হয় না শুধু মুসলমান হবার অপরাধে, সেটা সত্যিই কেমন লাগে সেটা তো আমার জানা। ঠেকে জানা। তবু আমি প্রতিবাদ করি না। এইখানেই আমার অক্ষমতা, এইখানেই আমি ছোটো হয়ে যাই।

হয়ত এই কারণেই সে আরো বেশি করে ধর্মপ্রাণ হয়ে উঠেছে। অফিসের কাজের ফাঁকেও সে লুকিয়ে নমাজ পড়ে চলেছে, "জিমে"র দরজা ভেতর থেকে বন্ধ করে দিয়ে। সারা বছরের ছুটি ও ওভারটাইম জমিয়ে রাখে রমজানের মাসের জন্যে। কিন্তু এতো সাধারণ কথা, এক খ্রীষ্টান খ্রিস্টমাসের মরশুমে বেশি করে ছুটি নেয়, সব্বাই জানে, সেটাও ধর্মীয় ছুটি, কিন্তু হায়াৎ যখন ছুটি নেয় সেটা রমজানের সময়েই পড়বে, তবু সে মিথ্যে করে বলে দেবে, ঐ সময়ে তার প্রথম কুড়িদিন প্যারিস বেড়নো আছে, তার পরের সপ্তাহে বোনের বিয়ে, হ্যান ত্যান, যেন কেউ ঘুণাক্ষরেও টের না পায় যে মেয়েটা ধর্মাচরণ করছে। যদি মোট ছুটি ঐ রমজানের সবকটা দিনের চেয়ে কম হয়, ও ছুটির পরের দিনগুলো "অসুস্থ" হয়ে যাবে। তবু মুখফুটে বলবে না। কেন এই ইনসিকিওরিতি? কেন এত দ্বিধা আর ভয়? আর এইসবতো আরো বাড়ছে দিনকে দিন।
অথচ আরেকটা ছেলেও কাজ করত, সুলেমান, টার্কির ছেলে, তার অ্যাপ্রোচ ছিলো আলাদা। কারণ সে হচ্ছে "মডারেট"। এই সব টার্মিনোলজি বোধয় ৯১১ র পরেই বানানো।

Misconceptions about Islam!
[b]Misconception # 1: It is not civilized to have more than one wife at a time.[/b]
Reply: The only religious book that says: "then marry only once" is the Quran, the holy book of the Muslims. This injunction is not found in the Christian Bible, in the Hindu Geeta, or in the Jewish holy book etc. In the Bible there are so many references to various prophets and kings who had numerous wives. Abraham had three wives, while King Solomon had seven hundred wives, etc. In the Hindu literature the various gods have hundreds of wives and concubines. Krishna had one thousand women. Similarly, the Jews used to marry more than once as late as the 1950s. None of these faiths regulated the number of wives a man could have at a time. Only Islam limits the wives to four.
The monogamy that the Christians, the Hindus, and Jews practice today, is not from their religion, but from their government. So it has no religious significance; it is a man-made rule. Monogamy was the result of an act of parliament, not their faith. Example: The Indian Parliament in 1954 passed the Hindu Marriage Act prohibiting the Hindu male from taking up more than one wife. The Jewish Rabbis in the 10th Century AD made monogamy a rule. Similarly, the European countries and the American government passed laws to make monogamy the rule in their lands. In Surah Nissah God allows a Muslim to marry, one, two, three or four women as long as he can do justice between them. If the man can't do justice, the exhortation

Marrying more than once is not compulsory, but only an option to tide over unique circumstances that societies face from time to time. You will find in many societies today that the ratio between females and males is not 50:50. There are more females than men in Europe, USA and elsewhere. On the other hand, in India, because of the rampant female fetus abortions, the number of females is dropping, and a crisis is in the making, as not enough number of females will be available for Hindu men to marry a few years from now.
The option for women in countries with a bigger female ratio than men is to share a husband with another woman, to remain single, or to become public property. "Become public property" is a decent phrase I'm using for what it really means. Ask any woman who cannot find an unmarried man to marry, if it is a better choice to share a husband with another woman, or to become a mere mistress. As a lawfully wedded wife she will get the same right as the first wife, get legal status for herself and her children, get inheritance rights for herself and her children, and most importantly, get respect and dignity. Becoming a mistress is no choice. In the West becoming a mistress or a girlfriend is no problem, but becoming a second wife is totally unacceptable. The Government will come after you, the society will come after you?
Misconception # 2: There is no equality between genders in Islam, as Islam gives men the right to have more than one wife, but does it not give the same right to women to have more than one husband.
Reply: Islam does not approve of polyandry, i.e., a woman taking up more than one husband. It is the male whose children the women bear. If a woman had multiple husbands, it would not be easy to know who the father of the child is. When a child is conceived, God puts love and affection in the hearts of the parents so that they can bring up the child. Without this love, life cannot be sustained. But if there were dispute about who really has fathered the child, there would be no love in the heart of the fathers. Psychologists say that children who grow up without knowing who their father is, are lacking in stability and maturity. Now because of scientific progress in DNA testing, one can say who the father is; but these tests were not available for mankind till now. Islam is about peace in the family, not discord.
Misconception # 3: Islam subjugates women in a veil.
Reply: If you look at history, to ancient civilizations, you will find that women were the oppressed people. They had no individual merit. The Babylonians used to punish the woman for her husband's mistakes. The ancient Egyptians did the same. Ancient Arabs buried their newly-born daughters. It was Islam that uplifted the status of women. It gave women rights they never had before. Surah Nissah exhorts believing men to lower their gaze if a lady is passing by. Similarly, there are exhortations for women to lower their gaze if strange men are around. The Quran also speaks about the hijab for men and women to protect the modesty. The hijab for men is to cover their bodies minimally from their navel to the knees. The hijab for women is to cover their whole bodies except for their faces and hands below their wrists. There are descriptions for a female hijab. that is should cover the endowments including head, not be tight, not be transparent, not be like the clothes of non-believers, and not be like the clothes of the other gender,
etc.
Let me ask you a question: Suppose two identical twin sisters are walking down a street, and one of them is dressed in revealing clothing, while the other one is wearing a hijab. Who will the boys in the street whistle at or tease: the one who is scantily dressed in a mini-skirt, or the one who is modestly attired? The answer is obvious. The hijab is designed to prevent women from being molested. It brings peace to society and prevents mischief.
Misconception # 4: Capital punishment is that barbaric.
Reply: There are crimes for which Islam prescribes capital punishment, eg. for rape, murder etc. This is to protect society from criminals and anti-social elements. In USA there are 2713 rapes taking place every day. In Islam, the penalty is to award the death penalty so that the criminal is not around to repeat this crime, and to teach others a lesson. Americans say that this is a severe punishment. They say that the rapist must be put in jail for the first rape. If later he rapes again, then it is ok to put him
to death. Friends, statistics in USA shows that 95 percent of the rapists, after release from jail, rape again. Islam prevents this second rape. Following the Hijib dress code prevents the rapist from temptation to rape.
Misconception # 5: Islam was spread by the sword.
Reply: Nothing is far from the truth. Islam was spread by traders who served as excellent role models. In the book: Islam at cross-roads, the author on page 8 says that this belief is a myth. Look at the number of Coptic Christians in Egypt. They number 14 million. Couldn't the Arabs have wiped them out and converted them to Islam? Look at India. In the 1000 years that the Muslims ruled over this subcontinent, every one could have been forcefully converted to Islam. How can you explain that there are 800 million Hindus and others still in India? Which Muslim army went to Indonesia and Malaysia to convert them? These people converted by seeing the good behaviors of the Muslim/Arab traders. Readers' Digest says that between 1943 and 1984, a period of 50 years, saw more conversion to Islam in Europe and USA than to any faith. I am asking you, who went with a sword to convert these people to Islam? The sword of the intellect converts people. If Islam is the best religion, why are many of the Muslims dishonest, unreliable, and involved in activities such as cheating, bribing, dealing in drugs, etc.?
1. Media maligns Islam
a. Islam is without doubt the best religion but the media is in the hands of the westerners who are afraid of Islam. The media is continuously broadcasting and printing information against Islam. They either provide misinformation about Islam, misquote Islam or project a point out of proportion, if any.
b. When any bomb blasts take place anywhere, the first people to be accused without proof are invariably the Muslims. This appears as headlines in the news. Later, when they find that non-Muslims were responsible, it appears as an insignificant news' item.
c. If a 50 year old Muslim marries a 15 year old girl after taking her permission, it appears on the front page but when a 50 year old non-Muslim rapes a 6 year old girl, it may appear in the news in the inside pages as 'News briefs'. Everyday in America on an average 2,713 cases of rape take place but it doesn't appear in the news, since it has become a way of life for the Americans.
2. Black sheep in every community:
I am aware that there are some Muslims who are dishonest, unreliable, who cheat, etc. but the media projects this as though only Muslims are involved in such activities. There are black sheep in every community. I know Muslims who are alcoholics and who can drink most of the non-Muslims under the table.
3. Muslims best as a whole:
Inspite of all the black sheep in the Muslim community, Muslims taken on the whole, yet form the best community in the world. We are the biggest community of tee-totallers as a whole, i.e. those who don't imbibe alcohol. Collectively, we are a community which gives the maximum charity in the world. There is not a single person in the world who can even show a candle to the Muslims where modesty is concerned; where sobriety is concerned; where human values and ethics are concerned.
4. Don't judge a car by its driver:
If you want to judge how good is the latest model of the Mercedes; car and a person who does not know how to drive sits at the steering wheel and bangs up the car, who will you blame? The car or the driver? But naturally, the driver. To analyze how good the car is, a person should not look at the driver but see the ability and features of the car. How fast is it, what is its average fuel consumption, what are the safety measures, etc. Even if I agree for the sake of argument that the Muslims are bad, we can't judge Islam by its followers? If you want to judge how good Islam is then judge it according to its authentic sources, i.e. the Glorious Qur'an and the Sahih Hadith.
5. Judge Islam by its best follower i.e. Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him):
If you practically want to check how good a car is put an expert driver behind the steering wheel. Similarly the best and the most exemplary follower of Islam by whom you can check how good Islam is, is the last and final messenger of God, Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him ). Besides Muslims, there are several honest and unbiased non-Muslim historians who have acclaimed that prophet Muhammad was the best human being. According to Michael H. Hart who wrote the book, 'The Hundred Most Influential Men in History', the topmost position, i.e. the number one position goes to the beloved prophet of Islam, Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him ). There are several such examples of non-Muslims paying great tributes to the prophet, like Thomas Carlyle, La-Martine, etc.
Q. Why do Muslims abuse non-Muslims by calling them Kafirs?
1. Kafir means one who rejects.
'Kafir' is derived from the word 'kufr', which means to conceal or to reject. In Islamic terminology, 'Kafir' means one who conceals or rejects the truth of Islam and a person who rejects Islam is in English called a 'non-Muslim'.
2. If non-Muslims are hurt - they should accept Islam.
If any non-Muslim considers the word 'Kafir' i.e. 'non-Muslim' as an abuse, he may choose to accept Islam and then we will stop referring to him as or call him a kafir i.e. a non-Muslim.
Q. Why are two witnesses who are women, equivalent to only one witness who
is a man?
A. It is not true that two female witnesses are always considered as equal to only one male witness. It is true only in certain cases. There are about five verses in the Qur'an that mention witnesses, without specifying male or female. There is only one verse in the Qur'an, that says two female witnesses are equal to one male witness. This verse is Surah Baqarah, chapter 2 verse 282. This is the longest verse in the Qur'an and deals with
financial transactions. It says: Oh! ye who believe! When ye deal with each other, in transactions involving future obligation in a fixed period of time reduce them to writing and get two witnesses out of your own men and if there are not two men, then a man
and two women, such as ye choose, for witnesses so that if one of them errs
the other can remind her.[Al-Qur'an 2:282] This verse of the Qur'an deals only with financial transactions. In such cases, it is advised to make an agreement in writing between the parties and take two witnesses, preferably both of which should be men only. In case you cannot find two men, then one man and two women would suffice.
For instance, suppose a person wants to undergo an operation for a particular ailment. To confirm the treatment, he would prefer taking references from two qualified surgeons. In case he is unable to find two surgeons, his second option would be one surgeon and two general practitioners who are plain MBBS doctors. Similarly in financial transactions, two men are preferred. Islam expects men to be the breadwinners of their families. Since financial responsibility is shouldered by men, they are expected to be well versed in financial transactions as compared to women. As a second option, the witness can be
one man and two women, so that if one of the women errs the other can remind
her. The Arabic word used in the Qur'an is 'Tazil' which means 'confused' or
'to err'. Many have wrongly translated this word as 'to forget'. Thus
financial transactions constitute the only case in which two female witnesses are equal to one male witness. However, some scholars are of the opinion that the feminine attitude can also have an effect on the witness in a murder case. In such circumstances a
woman is more terrified as compared to a man. Due to her emotional condition
she can get confused. Therefore, according to some jurists, even in cases of
murder,two female witnesses are equivalent to one male witness. In all other
cases, one female witness is equivalent to one male witness. There are about
five verses in the Qur'an which speak about witnesses without specifying man
or woman. While making a will of inheritance, two just persons are required as
witnesses. In Surah Maidah chapter 5 verse 106, the Glorious Qur'an says:
"Oh you who believe! When death approaches any of you, (take) witnesses
among yourself when making bequests." [Al-Qur'an 5:106] "two just persons of your own (brotherhood) or other from outside if you are journeying through the earth and the chance of death befalls you. [Al-Qur'an65:2]
Two persons endued with justice in case of talaq."Four witnesses are required in case of charge against chaste women,"[Al-Qur'an 24:4]There are some scholars who are of the opinion that the rule of two female witnesses equal to one male witness should be applied to all the cases. This cannot be agreed upon because one particular verse of the Qur'an from Surah Noor chapter 24, verse 6 clearly equates one female witness and one male
witness: "And those who launch a charge against their spouses, and have (in support)
no evidence but their own - their solitary evidence can be received." [Al-Qur'an 24:6] Hazrat Ayesha (RA) hadith narrated of one witness Many jurists agree that even one witness of a woman is sufficient for the sighting of the crescent of the moon. Imagine one woman witness is sufficient for one of the pillars of Islam, i.e. fasting and the whole
Muslim community of men and women agree and accept her witness! Some jurists
say that one witness is required at the beginning of Ramadaan and two
witnesses at the end of Ramadaan. It makes no difference whether the
witnesses are men or women. Some incidents require only female witness and that of a male cannot be accepted. For instance, in dealing with the problems of women, while giving the burial bath i.e. 'ghusl' to a woman, the witness has to be a woman.
The seeming inequality of male and female witnesses in financial transactions is not due to any inequality of the sexes in Islam. It is only due to the different natures and roles of men and women in society as envisaged by Islam.
Q. How can you prove the existence of hereafter, i.e. life after death?
1. Belief in the hereafter is not based on blind faith?
Many people wonder as to how a person with a scientific and logical temperament, can lend any credence to the belief of life after death. People assume that anyone believing in the hereafter is doing so on the basis of blind belief. My belief in the hereafter is based on a logical argument.
2. Hereafter a logical belief
There are more than a thousand verses in the Glorious Qur'an, containing scientific facts (refer my book "Qur'an and Modern Science-Compatible or Incompatible?"). Many facts mentioned in the Qur'an have been discovered in the last few centuries. But science has not advanced to a level where it can confirm every statement of the Qur'an. Suppose 80% of all that is mentioned in the Qur'an has been proved 100% correct. About the remaining 20%, science makes no categorical statement, since it has not advanced to a level, where it can either prove or disprove these statements. With the limited knowledge that we have, we cannot say for surewhether even a single percentage or a single verse of the Qur'an from this 20% portion is wrong. Thus when 80% of the Qur'an is 100% correct and the remaining 20% is not disproved, logic says that even the 20% portion is
correct. The existence of the hereafter, which is mentioned in the Qur'an,
falls in the 20% ambiguous portion which my logic says is correct.
3. Concept of peace and human values is useless without the concept of hereafter
Is robbing a good or an evil act? A normal balanced person would say it is
evil. How would a person who does not believe in the hereafter convince a
powerful and influential criminal that robbing is evil? Suppose I am the most powerful and influential criminal in the world. At the same time I am an Intelligent and a logical person. I say that robbing is good because it helps me lead a luxurious life. Thus robbing is good for me. If anybody can put forward a single logical argument as to why it is evil
for me, I will stop immediately. People usually put forward the following
arguments:
a. The person who is robbed will face difficulties
Some may say that the person who is robbed will face difficulties. I certainly agree that it is bad for the person who is robbed. But it is good for me. If I rob a thousand dollars, I can enjoy a good meal at a 5 star restaurant.
b. Some one may rob you
Some people argue that someday I may be robbed. No one can rob me because I
am a very powerful criminal and I have hundreds of bodyguards. I can rob anybody but nobody can rob me. Robbing may be a risky profession for a common man but not for an influential person like me.
c. The police may arrest you
Some may say, if you rob, you can be arrested by the police. The police cannot arrest me because I have the police on my payroll. I have the ministers on my payroll. I agree that if a common man robs, he will be arrested and it will be bad for him, but I am an extraordinarily influential and powerful criminal. Give me one logical reason why it is bad for me and I will stop robbing.
d. Its easy money
Some may say its easy money and not hard-earned money. I agree completely that it is easy money, and that is one of the main reasons why I rob. If a person has the option of earning money the easy as well as the hard way, any logical person would choose the easy way.
e. It is against humanity
Some may say it is against humanity and that a person should care for other human beings. I counter argue by asking as to who wrote this law called 'humanity' and why should I follow it? This law may be good for the emotional and sentimental people but I am a logical person and I see no benefit in caring for other human beings.
f. It is a selfish act
Some may say that robbing is being selfish. It is true that robbing is a selfish act; but then why should I not be selfish? It helps me enjoy life.
1. No logical reason for robbing being an evil act
Hence all arguments that attempt to prove that robbing is an evil act are futile. These arguments may satisfy a common man but not a powerful and influential criminal like me. None of the arguments can be defended on the strength of reason and logic. It is no surprise that there are so many criminals in this world.
Similarly raping, cheating etc. can be justified as good for a person like me and there is no logical argument that can convince me that these things are bad.
2. A Muslim can convince a powerful and influential criminal
Now let us switch sides. Suppose you are the most powerful and influential criminal in the world, who has the police and the ministers on his payroll. You have army of thugs to protect you. I am a Muslim who will convince you that robbing, raping, cheating, etc. are evil acts. Even if I put forth the same arguments to prove that robbing is evil the
criminal will respond the same way as he did earlier.I agree that the criminal is being logical and all his arguments are true only when he is the most powerful and influential criminal.
3. Every human being wants justice
Each and every human being desires justice. Even if he does not want justice for others he wants justice for himself. Some people are intoxicated by power and influence and inflict pain and suffering on others. The same people, however, would surely object if some injustice was done to them. The reason such people become insensitive to the suffering of others is that they worship power and influence. Power and influence, they feel, not only allows them to inflict injustice on others but also prevents others from
doing likewise to them.
4. God is Most Powerful and Just
As a Muslim I would convince the criminal about the existence of Almighty God (refer to answer proving the existence of God). This God is more powerful than you and at the same time is also just. The Glorious Qur'an says: "Allah is never unjust In the least degree" [Al-Qur'an 4:40]
5. Why does God not punish me?
The criminal, being a logical and scientific person, agrees that God exists, after being presented with scientific facts from the Qur'an. He may argue as to why God, if He is Powerful and Just, does not punish him.
6. The people who do injustice should be punished
Every person who has suffered injustice, irrespective of financial or social status, almost certainly wants the perpetrator of injustice to be punished. Every normal person would like the robber or the rapist to be taught a lesson. Though a large number of criminals are punished, many even go scot-free. They lead a pleasant, luxurious life, and even enjoy a peaceful existence. If injustice is done to a powerful and influential person, by
someone more powerful and more influential than he, even such a person would
want that person perpetrators of injustice to be punished.
7. This life is a test for the hereafter
This life is a test for the hereafter. The Glorious Qur'an says: "He who created Death and life that He may try which of you is best in deed; And He is the Exalted in Might, Oft-Forgiving" [Al-Qur'an 67:2]
8. Final justice on day of judgement
The Glorious Qur'an says: "Every soul shall have a taste of death: And only on the Day of Judgement shall you be paid your full recompense. Only he who is saved far from the
Fire and admitted to the Garden will have attained the object (of life): For the life of this world Is but goods and chattels Of deception." [Al-Qur'an3:185]
Final justice will be meted out on the Day of Judgement. After a person dies, he will be resurrected on the Day of Judgement along with the rest ofmankind. It is possible that a person receives part of his punishment in this world. The final reward and punishment will only be in the hereafter. God Almighty may not punish a robber or a rapist in this world but he will surely be held accountable on the Day of Judgement and will be punished in the hereafter i.e. life after death.
9. What punishment can the human law give Hitler?
Hitler incinerated six million Jews during his reign of terror. Even if the police had arrested him, what punishment can the human law give Hitler for justice to prevail? The most they can do is to send Hitler to the gas chamber. But that will only be punishment for the killing of one Jew. What about the remaining five million, nine hundred and ninety nine thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine Jews?
10. Allah can burn Hitler more than six million times in hellfire
Allah say in the Glorious Qur'an: "Those who reject our signs, We shall soon cast into the Fire; As often as their skins are roasted through, We shall change them for fresh skins, that they may taste the penalty: for Allah Is Exalted in Power, Wise" [Al-Qur'an
4:56] If Allah wishes he can incinerate Hitler six million times in the hereafter
in the hellfire.
11. No concept of human values or good and bad without concept of hereafter
It is clear that without convincing a person about the hereafter, i.e. life after death, the concept of human values and the good or evil nature of acts is impossible to prove to any person who is doing injustice especially when he is influential and powerful.
Q. All religions basically teach followers to do good deeds. Why should a person only follow Islam? Can he not follow any of the religions?
1. Major difference between Islam and most other religions All religions basically exhort mankind to be righteous and eschew evil. But Islam goes beyond that. It guides us towards practical ways of achieving righteousness and eliminating evil from our individual and collective lives. Islam takes into account human nature and the complexities of human society. Islam is guidance from the Creator Himself. Therefore, Islam is also called the Deen-ul-Fitrah (the natural religion of Man).
2. Example - Islam commands us to shun robbery and also prescribes method of
eleminating robbery
a. Islam prescribes method of eliminating robbery
All major religions teach that theft is an evil act. Islam teaches the same. So what is the difference between Islam and the other religions? The difference lies in the fact that Islam, besides teaching that robbing is evil, shows a practical way of creating a social structure in which people will not rob.
b. Islam prescribes Zakat
Islam prescribes a system of Zakat (obligatory annual charity). Islamic law prescribes that every person who has a saving that exceeds the nisab level i.e. more than 85 grams of gold, should give 2.5% of that saving every lunar year in charity. If every rich person in the world gave Zakat sincerely, poverty will be eradicated from this world. Not a single human being would die of hunger.
c. Chopping off the hands as punishment for robbery
Islam prescribes chopping off the hands of the convicted robber. The Glorious Qur'an says in Surah Maidah: "As to the thief, male or female, cut off his or her hands:a punishment by way of example, from Allah, for their crime: and Allah is Exalted in power, full of wisdom." [ Al-Qur'an 5:38] The non-Muslim may say, "Chopping off the hands in this 20th century. Islam is a barbaric and ruthless religion!"
d. Results achieved when Islamic Shariah Implemented
America is supposed to be one of the most advanced countries in the world. Unfortunately it also has one of the highest rates of crime, theft, and robbery. Suppose the Islamic shariah is implemented in America i.e. every rich person gives Zakat ( 2.5% of his savings in charity above 85 grams of gold every lunar year), and every convicted robber has his or her hands chopped off as a punishment. Will the rate of theft and robbery in America increase, remain same or decrease? Naturally it will decrease. Moreover the existence of such a stringent law would discourage many a potential robber. I agree that the amount of theft that takes place in the world today is so tremendous that if you chop off the hands of all the thieves, there will be
tens of thousands of people whose hands will be chopped off. The point here
is that the moment you implement this law the rate of theft will decline
immediately. The potential robber would give it a serious thought before
jeopardizing his limbs. The mere thought of the punishment itself will
discourage majority of the robbers. There will barely be a few who would
rob. Hence only a few person's hands would be chopped off but millions would
live peacefully without fear of being robbed. Islamic Shariah is therefore practical, and achieves results.
3. Example: Islam prohibits the molestation and rape of women. It enjoins hijab and prescribes capital punishment for a convicted rapist.
a. Islam prescribes method of eliminating molestation and rape All the major religions declare the molestation and rape of women as grave sins. Islam teaches the same. What then is the difference between Islam and the other religions? The difference lies in the fact that Islam does not merely preach respect for women, or abhor molestation and rape as serious crimes, but also gives clear guidance as to how society can eliminate such crimes.
b. Hijab for men
Islam has a system of hijab. The Glorious Qur'an first mentions hijab for the men and then for the women. Hijab for the men is mentioned in the following verse: "Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty: that will make for greater purity for them: and Allah is well acquainted with all that they do." [Al-Qur'an 24:30] The moment a man looks at a woman and if any brazen or unashamed thought comes to his mind, he should lower his gaze.
d. Hijab for women
Hijab for women is mentioned in the following verse: "And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons...." [Al-Qur'an
24:31]
The extent of hijab for a woman is that her complete body should be covered.
The only part that can be seen, are the face and the hands up to the wrists.
If they wish to cover, they can even cover these parts of the body. However
some Islamic scholars insist that even the face should be covered.
d. Hijab prevents molestation
The reason why Allah has prescribed Hijab for the women is given in the
Qur'an in the folowing verse of Surah Al-Ahzab: "O Prophet! Tell thy wives and daughters, and the believing women, that they should cast their outer garments over their persons (when abroad): that is most convenient, that they should be known (as such) and not molested. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, most Merciful." [Al-Qur'an 33:59]
The Qur'an says that Hijab has been prescribed for the women so that they
are recognized as modest women this would prevent them from being molested.
e. Capital punishment for rapist
The Islamic shariah prescribes capital punishment for a convicted rapist.
The non-Muslim may be horrified at such a stringent punishment in this age.
Many accuse Islam of being ruthless and barbaric. I have asked a common
question to hundreds of non-Muslim men. Suppose God-forbid, some one rapes
your wife, your mother or your sister and you are made the judge. The rapist
is brought in front of you. What punishment would you give him? All of them
said, "we would put him to death. "Some went to the extent of saying, "we would torture him to death". If your wife or your mother is raped you want the rapist to be put to death. But if someone else's wife or mother is raped, capital punishment is a
barbaric law. Why the double standards? e.g. U.S.A. has one of the highest rate of Rape The United States of America is supposed to be one of the most advanced
countries of the world. An F.B.I report in the year 1990 says that 1,02,555
cases of rape were reported. It further says that only 16% of the cases of
rapes are reported. Thus, in order to know the actual number of rapes that
took place in 1990, the reported figure should be multiplied by 6.25. We get
a total of 6,40,968 rape cases that took place in the year 1990. If the
total is divided by365 the number of days in a year, we get an average of
1,756 rape incidents everyday. Later another report said that an average of 1900 cases of ape are committed in U.S.A every day. According to National Crime Victimization
Survey Bureau of Justice Statistics (U. S. Dept. of Justice) in 1996 alone
3,07,000 cases of rape were reported. Only 31% of the actual cases of rape
were reported. Thus, 3,07,000 X 3.226 = 9,90,322 rapes took place in 1996.
That is, an average of 2,713 cases of rape took place everyday in America in
1996. Every 32 seconds one rape is taking place in America. Maybe American
rapists got bolder. The FBI report of 1990 continues and says that out of
the rape cases that were reported only 10% of the rapist were arrested, that
is only 1.6% of the actual rapes committed. Out of those arrested, 50% were
let free before the trial. This would mean that only 0.8% of the rapists
faced a trial. In other words if a person commits 125 rapes the chances that
he will get a punishment for rape is only once. Many would consider this a
good gamble. And the report says that of those people who faced trial 50%
received sentences of less than a year's imprisonment though the American
law says rape carries a seven year sentence of imprisonment. For a rapist,
the judge is lenient to first time offenders. Imagine a person commits 125
rapes and the chances of being convicted is only once, and 50% of the time
the judge will grant leniency and give a sentence of less than a year!
h. Results achieved when Islamic Shariah Implemented
Suppose the Islamic shariah is implemented in America. Whenever a man looks at a woman and if any brazen or unashamed thought comes to his mind, he lowers his gaze. Every woman wears the Islamic Hijab, that is the complete body is covered except the face and the hands up to the wrists. After this if any man commits rape, he gets capital punishment. The question is, will the rate of rape in America increase, will it remain the same or will it decrease? Naturally it will decrease. Islamic Shariah gets results. 4. Islam has Practical Solutions for the Problems of Mankind Islam is the best way of life because its teachings are not doctrinaire rhetoric but practical solutions for the problems of mankind. Islam achieves results both at the individual and collective levels. Islam is the best way of life because it is a practical, universal religion not confined to any ethnic group or nationality.
Misconception # 6: Muslims are fundamentalists.
Reply: What is the definition of the word fundamentalist? The dictionary says any one who understands the basics of a discipline is a fundamentalist. Can you call yourself a mathematician if you can't understand the fundamentals of maths? No! Similarly, to be called a scientist, you must understand the fundamentals of science. There can be a positive fundamentalist and a negative fundamentalist. A thief/robber who is an expert at the fundamentals of robbing is bad; but a doctor who knows the
fundamentals of healing is good. I submit that no fundamentals of Islam are
against humanity. How can you be a good Muslim if you do not understand and
practice the fundamentals of Islam? According to the Webster's dictionary,
the word fundamentalist was first used on Christians; however, the new Oxford dictionary lists Muslims as fundamentalists.
Every Muslim should understand the fundamentals of Islam, and should be a fundamentalist. I am proud to call myself a 'Muslim Fundamentalist'. I submit that every Muslim should be a terrorist. Just as the policeman strikes terror in the heart of the thief, so should every Muslim strike terror in the heart of the thief, the rapist and other anti-social elements. The word fundamentalist is open to wide interpretation, just like the word freedom fighter. In olden days, the British would label those Indians fighting for India's freedom as terrorists; while for the Indians, these
were freedom-fighters.
Misconception # 7: Muslims are ruthless non-vegetarian people.
Reply: God has granted Muslims the choice to be vegetarians as well as non-vegetarians. He has ordained in the holy book that everything that he has created in this world is for the enjoyment/pleasure of man (with certain restrictions and limits). It is ok for a Muslim to be a vegetarian by choice; it is also ok for him to be a non-vegetarian by choice. Science tells us that animal flesh is a complete protein food. It is easier to digest than the vegetarian food. If you look at the teeth of carnivorous
animals like a tiger or a lion they are sharp and pointed, designed to tear
flesh. The tiger and lion can eat only flesh; they cannot digest vegetables
and grass. On the other hand, the teeth of herbivorous animals like the cow
and camel are flat, designed to chew grass and plants. These herbivorous
animals can't digest flesh. But if you examine the teeth of human beings,
they are both canine i.e. sharp and pointed ones as well as flat. Therefore
human beings can chew both vegetarian foods as well as non- vegetarian foods. Humans can digest plant foods as well as flesh. It is a gift of God to humans.
Hindu scriptures permit the eating of flesh. In fact, their books are replete with incidents showing festivals and ceremonies where meat was served. When Jainism and Buddhism started to become popular with their philosophies of ahimsa, ie., non-violence toward animals, and started to win converts from Hinduism, the Hindus adapted the same philosophy to win back those who had left the Hindu fold. This is how Hinduism changed over to vegetarianism. If no one eats meat the number of cattle will be uncontrollable. It will be a big problem about how to dispose of them.
Misconception # 8: Muslims eat animals and behave like animals.
Reply: There is a saying that you are what you eat. Since Muslims eat only herbivorous animals who are peaceful animals, ie., animals that eat only plants, grass etc, like goat, lamb etc. Therefore, we are peaceful people. Muslims are prevented from eating carnivorous animals, i.e, animals who eat other animals. The holy prophet has prohibited us from eating snakes, lizards, cats, dogs, birds of prey etc. Some non-Muslims say that allowing a slaughtered to bleed to death is torturing the animal. It is better to behead it in one quick shot. Some Muslims' response to this is that the
non-Muslims attack the animals from behind, like cowards; while Muslims
confront the animal in a manly manner, face-to-face, from the front. Of
course this is not a good reason; it is only a joke. Scientific tests have proven that when the animal's throat is slit along with the windpipe and the vein (without damage to the spinal cord), the animal dies a painless death. The heart pumps out all the blood from the body. Blood carries toxins and impurities that are harmful for humans. Islam
prohibits the eating/drinking of blood. Meat without blood lasts longer than
meat with blood in it.
Misconception # 9: Going around the Kabah is idol worship.
Reply: No religion is more vocal in condemning idol worship than Islam. The Muslims do not worship Kabah, only Allah. While circumambulating the Kabah
they chant: La Illa ha ill-lal-lah. (There is no object worthy of worship
but Allah). The Kabah is for proving unity. It would be chaotic if Muslims prayed in any direction they chose. The Kabah provides a chance to unify in prayer as all
Muslims face one spot. Throughout the globe people from various countries
face North, South, East and West only to face the Kabah. When the Arabs drew
the map of the globe, they put Makkah in the center; but when the Western
people gained power, they put Greenwich in the center. But if you look at
the map, Makkah continues to be in the center of the globe. Alhamdulillah!
Some accuse Muslims to be idol worshippers because the kiss the black rock
at Kabah. This they do only because they saw the prophet do it. The black stone has no power to benefit or harm you. In olden times, the call to prayer was given by standing on the top of Kabah. If Muslims were idol worshippers, would they stand on to of their idol and call people to prey. Does a Hindu or a Christian stand on their idol and call others to join in the worship?
Misconception # 10: Muslims are wrong in preventing non-Muslims from visiting Makkah.
Reply: Allah has prohibited this. It is not a place of tourism, but reverence and worship. A non-Muslim has no reverence for Makkah, and therefore should not be there as a mere spectator. Suppose I am an Indian, I can't go to the cantonment area where the military is based. I need a special permit. Similarly, all countries have their own rules to allow visitors. Applicants must met certain conditions insisted by the host country. I had to meet the conditions of the US Government to visit USA. Similarly, there are conditions to visit Makkah. The condition is: You recite from your heart La illa-ha ill lal lah, Mohammed-ur rasul Allah ("I bear witness that there is no object worthy ofworship except Allah, and that Mohammed id the messenger of Allah" ).
Misconception # 11: Muslims wrongly don't eat pork
Reply: God has prohibited pork. There are several references in the Bible where swine meat is prohibited. Science has associated 70 diseases with swine meat, the most dangerous being tapeworm, from which there is no cure. It causes irreparable damage to the insides. Even if a pig has been raised on a farm and its flesh is cooked very well at high temperatures, certain germs never die. The pig is a filthy animal; it eats human excreta. It has no protective instinct for its female. It is a shameless animal. Therefore people who eat its flesh, have no shame if their females mate with other men.
Q. Why is the consumption of alcohol prohibited in Islam?
Alcohol has been the scourge of human society since time immemorial. It continues to cost countless human lives, and causes terrible misery to millions throughout the world. Alcohol is the root cause of several problems facing society. The statistics of soaring crime rates, increasing instances of mental illnesses and millions of broken homes throughout the world bear mute testimony to the destructive power of alcohol.
1. Prohibition of alcohol in the Qur'an
The Glorious Qur'an prohibits the consumption of alcohol in the following verse: "O ye who believe! Intoxicants and Gambling, (Dedication of) stones, And (divination by) arrows, Are an Abomination - Of Satan's handiwork; Eschew such (abomination), That ye may prosper." [Al-Qur'an 5:90]
2. Prohibition of alcohol in the Bible
The Bible prohibits the consumption of alcohol in the following verses: "Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging; and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise. [Proverbs 20:1]. And be not drunk with wine. [Ephesians 5:18]
3. Alcohol inhibits the inhibitory centre
The human beings possess an inhibitory centre in their brains. This inhibitory centre prevents the person from doing things that he considers wrong. For instance a person does not normally use abusive language while addressing his parents or elders. If he has to answer the call of nature, his inhibitory centre will prevent him from doing so in public. Therefore he uses the toilet. When a person consumes alcohol, the inhibitory centre itself is inhibited. That is precisely the reason that an inebriated person is often found to be indulging in behaviour that is completely uncharacteristic of him. For instance the intoxicated person is found to use abusive and foul language
and does not realize his mistake even if he is addressing his parents. Many
even urinate in their clothes. Neither do they talk nor walk properly. They
even misbehave.
4. Cases of adultery, rape, incest and AIDS are found more among alcoholics
According to National Crime Victimization Survey Bureau of Justice (U.S.
Department of Justice) in the year 1996 alone everyday on an average 2,713
rapes took place. The statistics tell us that the majority of the rapists, were intoxicated while committing the crime. The same is true in cases of molestation. According to statistics, 8% of Americans commit incest i.e. one in every twelve to thirteen persons in America is involved in incest. Almost all the cases of incest are due to intoxication of one or both the persons involved. One of the major factors associated with the spread of AIDS, the most dreaded disease, is alcoholism.
4. Every alcoholic was initially a social drinker
Many may argue in favour of liquor by calling themselves 'social drinkers'. They claim that they only have one or two pegs and they have self-control and so never get intoxicated. Investigations reveal that every alcoholic started as a social drinker. Not a single alcoholic or drunkard initially starts drinking with the intention of becoming an alcoholic or a drunkard. No social drinker can say that I have been having alcohol for several years and that I have so much self-control that I have never been intoxicated even a single time.
5. If a person is intoxicated just once and commits something shameful, it will remain with him for a lifetime.
Suppose a 'social drinker' loses his self-control just once. In a state of intoxication he commits rape or incest. Even if the act is later regretted, a normal human being is likely to carry the guilt throughout his life. Both the perpetrator and the victim are irreparably and irreversibly damaged.
6. Alcohol is prohibited in the Hadith
The Prophet of Islam Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
a. In Sunan Ibn-I-Majah Volume 3, Book of Intoxicants, Chapter 30 Hadith No.3371. "Alcohol is the mother of all evils and it is the most shameful of evils."
b. In Sunan Ibn-I-Majah Volume 3, Book of Intoxicants, Chapter 30 Hadith No. 3392
"Anything which intoxicates in a large quantity, is prohibited even in a small quantity." Thus there is no excuse for a nip or a tot.
c. Not only those who drink alcohol are cursed but also those who deal with them directly or indirectly are cursed by Allah.
According to Sunan Ibn-I-Majah Volume 3, Book of Intoxicants, Chapter 30 Hadith No. 3380. It was reported by Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), that Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him ) said: "God's curse falls on ten groups of people who deal with alcohol. The one who distills it, the one for whom it has been distilled, the one who drinks it, the one who transports it, the one to who it has been brought, the one whom serves it, the one who sells it, the one who utilizes money from it,
the one who buys it and the one who buys it for someone else."
8. Diseases associated with alcoholism
There are several scientific reasons for the prohibition of consumption of intoxicants i.e. alcohol. The maximum number of deaths in the world related to any one particular cause is due to the consumption of alcohol. Millions of people die every year only because of intake of alcohol. I need not go into the details of all the ill-effects of alcohol since most of them are commonly known. Below is a simple list of few of the alcohol related illnesses:
1. Cirrhosis of Liver is the most well known alcohol associated disease.
2. Others are Cancer of Oesophagus, Cancer of Head and Neck, Cancer of Liver
(Hepatoma), Cancer of Bowel, etc.
3. Oesophagitis, Gastritis, Pancreatitis and Hepatitis are linked with alcohol
consumption.
4. Cardiomyopathy, Hypertension, Coronary Artherosclerosis, Angina and Heart Attacks are linked with heavy alcohol intakes.
5. Strokes, Apoplexy, Fits and different types of Paralysis are linked with alcohol intake.
6. Peripheral Neuropathy, Cortical Atrophy, Cerebellar Atrophy are well-known syndromes caused by alcohol consumption.
7. Wernicke - Korsakoff syndrome with amnesia of recent events, confabulations and retainment of memory to old events with different types of paralysis are mainly due to thiamine deficiency due to excessive alcohol intake.
8. Beriberi and other deficiencies are not uncommon among alcoholics. Even Pellagra occurs in alcoholics.
9. Delerium Tremens is a serious complication that may occur during recurrent infection of alcoholics or post operatively. It also occurs during abstention as a sign of withdrawal effect. It is quite serious and may cause death even if treated in well equipped centres.
10. Numerous Endocrine Disorders have been associated with alcoholism ranging from Myxodema to Hyperthyroidism and Florid Cushing Syndrome.
11. Hematological ill effects are long and variable. Folic acid deficiency, however, is the most common manifestation of alcoholic abuse resulting in Macrocytic Anemia. Zeive's syndrome is a triad of Hemolytic Anemia, Jaundice and Hyperlipaedemia that follows alcoholic binges.
12. Thrombocytopenia and other platelet abnormalities are not rare in alcoholics.
13. The commonly used tablet metronidazole (flagyl) interacts badly with alcohol.
14. Recurrent infection is very common among chronic alcoholics. The resistance to disease and the immunological defense system are compromised by alcohol intake.
15. Chest infections are notorious in alcoholics. Pneumonia, Lung Abcess, Emphysema and Pulmonary Tuberculosis are all common in alcoholics.
16. During acute alcoholic intoxication, the drunk person usually vomits, the cough reflexes which are protective are paralysed. The vomitus thus easily pass to the lung causing Pneumonia or Lung Abscess. Occasionally it may even cause suffocation and death.
17. The ill effects of alcohol consumption on women deserves special mention. Females are more vulnerable to alcohol-related Cirrhosis than men. During pregnancy alcohol consumption has a severe detrimental effect on the foetus. Foetal Alcohol Syndrome is being recognised more and more in the medical profession.
18. Skin diseases are also related to alcohol indulgence.
19. Eczema, Alopecia, Nail Dystrophy, Paronychia (infection around the nails) and Angular Stomatitis (inflammation of the angle of the mouth) are common diseases among alcoholics.
9. Alcoholism is a 'disease'
Medical doctors have now turned liberal towards alcoholics and call alcoholism a disease rather than an addiction. The Islamic Research Foundation has published a pamphlet that says: If alcohol is a disease, it is the only disease that: Is sold in bottles Is advertised in newspapers, magazines, on radio and television Has licensed outlets to spread it Produces revenue for the government - Brings violent deaths on the highways- Destroys family life and increases crime - Has no germs or viral cause
ALCOHOLISM IS NOT A DISEASE - IT IS SATAN'S HANDIWORK
Allah (SubHana Wa Ta`ala ) in His Infinite Wisdom has warned us against this
snare of Satan. Islam is called the Deen-ul-Fitrah or the natural religion of Man. All its injunctions are aimed at preserving the natural state of man. Alcohol is a deviation from this natural state, for the individual as well as for society. It degrades man to a level below that of the beasts he claims to be superior to. Hence the consumption of alcohol is prohibited in Islam.
Q. When all the Muslim follow one and the same Qur'an then why are there so
many sects and different schools of thoughts among Muslims?.
1. Muslims Should be United
It is a fact that Muslims today, are divided amongst themselves. The tragedy
is that such divisions are not endorsed by Islam at all. Islam believes in
fostering unity amongst its followers.
The Glorious Qur'an says:"And hold fast, all together, by the rope which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves;" [Al-Qur'an 3:103] Which is the rope of Allah that is being referred to in this verse? It is the Glorious Qur'an. The Glorious Qur'an is the rope of Allah which all Muslims should hold fast together. There is double emphasis in this verse. Besides saying 'hold fast all together' it also says, 'be not divided'. Qur'an further says, "Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger" [Al-Qur'an 4:59] All the Muslim should follow the Qur'an and authentic ahadith and be not divided among themselves.
2. It is Prohibited to make sects and divisions in Islam
The Glorious Qur'an says: "As for those who divide their religion and break up into sects, thou hast no part in them in the least: Their affair is with Allah: He will in the end tell them the truth of all that they did." [Al-Qur'an 6:159] In this verse Allah (SubHana Wa Ta`ala ) says that one should disassociate oneself from those who divide their religion and break it up into sects. But when one asks a Muslim, who are you? the common answer is either 'I am a Sunni, or 'I am Shia'. Some call themselves Hanafi, or Shafi or Maliki or Humbali. Some say 'I am a Deobandi', while some others say 'I am a Barelvi'.
3. Our Prophet was a Muslim
One may ask such Muslims, Who was our beloved prophet (Peace Be Upon Him )? Was he a Hanafi or a Shafi, or a Humbali or a Maliki? No! He was a Muslim, like all the other prophets and messengers of Allah before him. It is mentioned in chapter 3 verse 52 of Al-Qur'an that Jesus (Peace Be Upon Him ) was a Muslim. Further, in chapter 3 verse 67, Al-Qur'an says that Ibrahim (Peace Be Upon Him ) was not a Jew or a Christian but was a Muslim.
4. Qur'an says call yourselves Muslim
a. If anyone poses a Muslim the question who are you, he should say "I am a MUSLIM, not a Hanafi or a Shafi";. Surah Fussilat chapter 41 verse 33 says
"Who is better in speech than one who calls (men) to Allah, works righteousness, and says, 'I am of those who bow in Islam (Muslim)?' [Al-Qur'an 41:33]
The Qur'an says ;Say I am of those who bow in Islam;. In otherwords, say, "I am a Muslim"
b. The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him ) dictated letters to non-Muslim kings and rulers inviting them to accept Islam. In these letters he mentioned the verse of the Qur'an from Surah Ali Imran chapter 3 verse 64: Say ye: "Bear witness That we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to Allah's Will)." [Al-Qur'an 3:64]
5. Respect all the Great Scholars of Islam We must respect all the great scholars of Islam, including the four Imaams, Imam Abu Hanifa, Imam Shafi, Imam Humbal and Imam Malik (may Allah be pleased with them all). They were great scholars and may Allah reward them for their research and hardwork. One can have no objection if someone agrees with the views and research of Imam Abu Hanifa or Imam Shafi, etc. But when posed a question, 'who are you?', the reply should only be 'I am a Muslim'.
6. Some may argue by quoting the hadith of our beloved Prophet from Sunan
Abu Dawood Hadith No. 4579. In this hadith the prophet (Peace Be Upon Him ) is reported to have said, "My community will be split up into seventy-three
sects." This hadith reports that the prophet predicted the emergence of seventy-three sects. He did not say that Muslims should be active in dividing themselves into sects. The Glorious Qur'an commands us not to create sects. Those who follow the teachings of the Qur'an and Sahih Hadith, and do not create sects are the people who are on the true path. According to Tirmidhi Hadith No. 171, the prophet (Peace Be Upon Him ) is reported to have said, "My Umma will be fragmented into seventy-three sects, and all of them will be in Hell fire except one sect." The companions asked Allah's messenger which group that would be. Where upon he replied, "It is
the one to which I and my companions belong."
The Glorious Qur'an mentions in several verses, "Obey Allah and obey His
Messenger." A true Muslim should only follow the Glorious Qur'an and the
Sahih Hadith. He can agree with the views of any scholar as long as they
conform to the teachings of the Qur'an and Sahih Hadith. If such views go
against the Word of Allah, or the Sunnah of His Prophet, then they carry no
weight, regardless of how learned the scholar might be. If only all Muslims read the Qur'an with understanding and adhere to Sahih Hadith, Inshallah most of these differences would be solved and we could be one united Muslim Ummah

(১) হে মানব। তোমরা তোমাদের রব্বকে ভয় কর, যিনি তোমাদিগে সৃষ্টি করিয়াছেন এক ব্যক্তি হইতে এবং তিনি তা হইতে তার সংগিনী পয়দা করেন, তিনি তাদের দুজন হইতে বহু নর-নারী করেন বিস্তার, আল্লাহকে ভয় কর, যাঁর নামে পরস্পর আবেদন রাখ, ভয় কর নাড়ি সম্পর্ক ছিন্ন করাকে, আল্লাহ রাখেন তোমাদের প্রতি সতর্ক দৃষ্টি। (২) এতিমকে তাদের সম্পদ ফেরত দাও এবং তাদের উৎকৃষ্ট মালের সহিত নিকৃষ্ট মাল বদল করিও না এবং তাদের মাল তোমাদের মালের সাথে মিলাইয়া খাইও না; ইহা মহাপাপ। (৩) এতীমের প্রতি সুবিচার করিতে পারিবে এ প্রকার ধারণা তোমাদের হইলে বিবাহ করিবে নারীদের হইতে যাকে ভাল লাগে দুই তিন কিংবা চার, আর যদি ভাব সুবিচার করিতে পারিবেন না, তখন একজনকে কিংবা তোমাদের অধীনস্থ দাসীকে; এতে পক্ষপাতিত্ব না করার নিকট সম্ভাবনা। (৪) আর তোমরা নারীদিগে তাদের মোহর সন্তুষ্ট মনে দিয়া দিবে; তারা খুশী চিত্তে তোমাদের কিছু ছাড়িয়া দিলে সতৃপ্ত ভোগ করিতে পার। (৫) আর অবুঝ এতীমদের সম্পদ ফিরত দিও না। যা আল্লাহ তোমাদের জীবন ধারণের মূলধন করিয়াছেন এবং তা হইতে তাদিগে অন্নবস্ত্র দিবে ও করিবে তাদের সাথে সদালাপ।
(৬) এতীমদিগের প্রতি সতর্ক থাকিবে, যদ্দিন না বিবাহযোগ্য হয়, তাদের মধ্যে ভাল-মন্দের বিবেচনা লক্ষ্য করিলে তাদের মাল তাদিগে ফেরত দিয়া দিবে, তাদের বয়স হইয়া যাইবে এই ভাবিয়া তা অন্যায়ভাবে সঙ্কÄর খাইয়া ফেলিও না, যে অভাবহীন সে যেন তা ভোগ হইতে নিবৃত্ত থাকে, আর যে বিত্তহীন সে যেন করে সংগত পরিমাণ; তাদের মাল তোমরা তাদিগে প্রত্যার্পণ করিলে লোকদের সাক্ষী করিয়া লইবে, হিসাব গ্রহণে আল্লাহ যাথেষ্ট। (৭) সম্পত্তি অল্প হউক বা বেশি মাতা-পিতা বা আত্মীয়দের ত্যক্ত সম্পত্তিতে পুরুষদের হিস্যা রহিয়াছে আর এইরূপ মাতা-পিতা বা আত্মীয়দের ত্যক্ত সম্পত্তিতে নারীদের হিস্যা রহিয়াছে নির্ধারিত পরিমাণ। (৮) সম্পত্তি বন্টনকালে স্বজন, এতীম এবং মিছকীন উপস্থিত থাকিলে তা হইতে তাদিগে কিছু দিবে, এবং করিবে সদালাপ। (৯) তারা যেন ভয় করে - অসহায় সন্তান রখিয়া গেলে তাদের সম্বন্ধে তারাও ভয় করিবে, তাই তারাও যেন আল্লাহকে ভয় করে এবং তাদের সহিত সংযত কথা বলে। (১০) যারা অন্যায় পন্থায় এতীমের মাল গ্রাস করে তারা তাদের উদরে আগুন আহার করে এবং তারা জ্বলন্ত অগ্নিদগ্ধ হইবে।
(১১) আল্লাহ তোমাদিগকে সন্তানের মীরাছ সম্বন্ধে নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন : এক পুত্র পাইবে দুই কন্যার সমান, পরন্তু দুই বা ততোধিক কন্যা হইলে তারা পাইবে ত্যক্ত সম্পত্তির তিনভাগের দুইভাগ। আর কন্যা এক হইলে পাইবে অর্ধেক; তার সন্তান থাকিলে তার মাতা পিতা প্রত্যেকেই ত্যক্ত সম্পত্তির ছয় ভাগের এক ভাগ পাইবে, কিন্তু সে নি:সন্তান এবং শুধু পিতাই উত্তরাধিকারী হইলে মাতা পাইবে এক তৃতীয়াংশ, মাতা-পিতা ছাড়াও একাধিক ভ্রাতা ভগ্নি থাকিলে মাতা পাইবে এক ষষ্ঠমাংশ, এ সবই সে যা অছীয়ত করে তা ও ঋণ পরিশোধান্তে প্রদত্ত; তোমাদের পিতা ও সন্তানদের মধ্যে কে নিকটতর উপকারের তা তোমরা জান; এটা আল্লাহর বিধান; আল্লাহ জ্ঞানী, প্রজ্ঞাশীল। (১২) তোমরা তোমাদের স্ত্রীগণের ত্যক্ত সম্পত্তির অর্ধেক পাইবে - তাদের কোন সন্তান না থাকিলে, কিন্তু তাদের সন্তান থাকিলে পরিত্যক্ত সম্পত্তির পাইবে চারভাগের এক ভাগ, ইহাও কৃত অছিয়ত পূরণ এবং ঋণ পরিশোধের পরে, স্ত্রীগণ ত্যক্ত সম্পত্তির চার ভাগের এক ভাগ পাইবে - তোমাদের কোনো সন্তান না থাকিলে, আর সন্তান থাকিলে স্ত্রীগণ পাইবে ত্যক্ত সম্পত্তির আটভাগের এক ভাগ, ইহা কৃত অছীয়ত ও ঋণ পরিশোধান্তে প্রযোজ্য; আর কোন পুরুষ কিংবা মহিলা "কালালা"র কাউকে উত্তরাধিকারী করে এবং তার এক বৈপিত্রেয় ভ্রাতা বা ভগ্নি থাকিলে প্রত্যেকে এক-ষষ্ঠমাংশ পাইবে এবং তারা তদপেক্ষা অধিক হইলে প্রত্যেকেই এক তৃতীয়াংশের অংশীদার হইবে। ইহা অছীয়ত ও ঋণ পরিশোধান্তে দেয় ক্ষতিগ্রস্থ করা ব্যতীত ইহা আল্লাহর বিধান; আল্লাহ সর্বজ্ঞ, সহনশীল। (১৩) এসব আল্লাহর বিধান, যে আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রাসূলের অনুসরণ করিবে, তাকে দাখিল করিবেন জান্নাতে, যার তলদেশ নদ-নদী প্রবাহিত থাকিবে তাতে চিরকাল; ইহা বিরাট সাফল্য। (১৪) এবং যে আল্লাহ ও রসূলের অবাধ্যতা ও আইন লংঘন করিবে আল্লাহ তাকে দোজখে দাখিল করিবেন, তাতে চিরবাসী হইবে, হইবে তার জঘন্য শাস্তি। (১৫) তোমাদের নারীদের মধ্যে যারা ব্যভিচারে লিপ্ত হয়, তাদের বিরুদ্ধে চারজন সাক্ষী যোগাড় করিবে, তারা সাক্ষ্য দিলে তাদিগে গৃহে অবরোধ করিবে যতক্ষণ না তাদের মৃত্যু ঘটে কিংবা আল্লাহ তাদের জন্য অপর কোন ব্যবস্থা নেন।
(১৬) তোমাদের যে দুজন ওতে লিপ্ত হইবে তাদিগে শাসন করিবে, যদি তওবা করে কিংবা সংশোধন হয়, তবে রেহাই দিবে; আল্লাহ ক্ষমাশীল দয়ালু। (১৭) আল্লাহ অবশ্যই যারা ভুল বশত: মন্দ কাজ করে এবং সত্বর তওবা করে সেসব লোকের তওবা আল্লাহ কবুল করেন, এদেরই আল্লাহ ক্ষমা করিয়া থাকেন; আল্লাহ সর্বজ্ঞ, জ্ঞানী । (১৮) আজীবন যারা গর্হিত কাজ কাজ করিয়া থাকে তাদের জন্য আদৌ তওবা নয়। আর তাদের কারো মৃত্যু হাজির হইলে বলে : আমি এখন তওবা করিতেছি, এবং তওবা তাদের জন্য না, যাদের মৃত্যু হয় কাফের অবস্থায়; এদের জন্যেই ব্যবস্থা করিয়াছি মর্মান্তিক শাস্তি। (১৯) হে ঈমানদারগণ ! নারীগণে জোর জবরদস্তি নিজেদের উত্তরাধিকার সাব্যস্ত করা হালাল নহে, তাদিগে তোমরা যা দিয়াছ তা হইতে কিছু আত্মস্য়্ৎ করার মানসে তাদিগে উৎপীড়ন করিও না, যদি তারা স্পষ্ট ব্যভিচার করে, তাদের সাথে ভালভাবে বসবাস কর, যদি তাদিগে তোমরা ঘৃণা কর তবে এমন হইতে পারে আল্লাহ যাতে বহু কল্যান রাখিয়াছেন তা তোমরা ঘৃণা করিলে। (২০) যদি তোমরা এক স্ত্রীর স্থলে অন্য স্ত্রী গ্রহণের ইচ্ছা কর তাদের একজনকে অনেক অর্থ দিয়াও থাক তবু তাদের হইতে কিছু গ্রহণ করিও না; তোমরা কি মিথ্যাদোষ ও প্রকাশ্য অন্যায় দ্বারা তা গ্রহণ করিবে?
(২১) কি প্রকারে তা করিবে, যখন পরস্পর তোমরা উপগত হইয়াছ ও তারা তোমাদের হইতে শক্ত ওয়াদা নিয়াছে। (২২) নারীদের হইতে পিতৃ পুরুষেরা যাদিগে বিবাহ করিয়াছে তাদিগে বিবাহ করিও না, যা হইয়াছে তা স্বতন্ত্র; ইহা লজ্জাকর, ঘৃণাজনক এবং জঘন্য পাপ। (২৩) বিবাহ অবৈধ করা গিয়াছে তোমাদের মাতা, কন্যা, পৌত্র-পৌত্রী, দৌহিত্রী প্রভৃতি, ভগ্নি, ফুফু, খালা, ভ্রাতুষ্পুত্রি, ভাগিনেয়ী, দুধ-মাতা, দুধ ভাগ্না-ভগিনী, শাশুড়ী ও তোমাদের উপগত স্ত্রীগণের গর্ভজাত পূর্ব স্বামীর ঔরসজাত কন্যা যা স্বভাবত: তোমাদের ক্রোড়ে লালিত-পালিত অবস্থায় রহিয়াছে, তবে তাদের সাথে উপগত না হইয়া থাকিলে , তাতে কোন দোষ নাই আর তোমাদের জন্য নিষিদ্ধ তোমাদের ঔরসজাত পুত্রের স্ত্রী ও দুই ভগ্নিকে একত্র বিবাহ করা, কিন্তু যা আগে হইয়া গেছে তা স্বতন্ত্র; আল্লাহ ক্ষমাশীল দয়ালু। (২৪) এবং নারীদের মধ্যে স্বাধিকারের দাসীরা ছাড়া সধবারা তোমাদের জন্য হারাম, ইহা খোদায়ী বিধান, বর্ণিত নারীগণ ছাড়া অন্য সবকে অর্থ ব্যয় করিয়া বিবাহের কামনা করিলে তা তোমাদের জন্য বৈধ করা গেল - অবৈধ সম্পর্কের জন্য নয়, তোমরা যাদিগে সম্ভোগ করিয়াছ তাদিগে নির্ধারিত মোহর দান করিবে, মোহর নির্ধারণান্তে কোনো ব্যপারে পরস্পর রাজি হইলে তাতে তোমাদের দোষ হইবে না; আল্লাহ সর্বজ্ঞ, বিজ্ঞানী। (২৫) তোমাদের কেহর স্বাধীন মুসলমান নারীদের বিবাহ করিবার ক্ষমতা না থাকিলে সে যেন তোমাদের অধিকারভুক্ত মহিলাকে বিবাহ করে; আল্লাহ তোমাদের বিশ্বাস সম্পর্কে জ্ঞাত, তোমরা পরস্পর সমান, তাই তাদিগে বিবাহ করিবে তাদের মুনিবের অনুমতিক্রমে। এবং সংগত - মোহর পরিশোধ করিবে, যদি না তারা ব্যভিচারিণী হয় কিংবা উপপতি গ্রহণকারিনী না হইয়া সচ্চরিত্রা হইয়া থাকে, বিবাহের পরে যদি তারা ব্যাভিচার করে তাদের অবিবাহিতা আজাদ নারীদের অর্ধেক শাস্তি প্রযোজ্য হইবে; ইহা তোমাদের মধ্যে যে ব্যক্তি জিনাকে ভয় করে এবং তেমন অবস্থায়ও ছবর করা তোমাদের উত্তম; আল্লাহ ক্ষমাশীল , দয়ালু।
(২৬) আল্লাহ ইচ্ছা করেন সবিস্তার বর্ণনা করিতে তোমাদের পূর্ববর্তীদের চরিত্র-কথা হেদায়েত দান করিতে আর তওবা কবুল করিতে; আল্লাহ জ্ঞানী, প্রজ্ঞাশীল। (২৭) এবং আল্লাহ ইচ্ছে করেন তোমাদের প্রতি দৃষ্টিদান করিতে, পক্ষান্তরে প্রবৃত্তির অনুগামীগণ ইচ্ছা করে তোমরা ভীষণ অসরল পথে পতিত হও। (২৮) আল্লাহ তোমাদের সহিত আছানীর ইচ্ছা করেন এবং ইহার কারণ এই যে, মানুষ দুর্বলরূপে সৃজিত হইয়াছে। (২৯) হে মুসলমানগণ! তোমরা অন্যায়ভাবে একে অপরের মাল গ্রাস করিও না, কিন্তু বৈধভাবে তা তোমাদের পারস্পরিক সম্মতিতে হয় আর তোমরা পরস্পরকে হত্যা করিও না; বস্তুত: আল্লাহ তোমাদের প্রতি কৃপালু। (৩০) যে ব্যক্তি অন্যায় ও জুলুম সহকারে হত্যা করিবে, তাকে আমি সত্বরই দোজখে পোড়াইব, ইহা আল্লাহর পক্ষে খুবই সহজ।
(৩১) যদি তোমরা গুরুতর নিষিদ্ধ কাজ হইতে নিবৃত থাক, আমি ক্ষমা করিব তোমাদের লঘু ত্রুটিসমূহ এবং তোমাদিগে মহাসম্মানিত স্থানে প্রবেশ করাইব। (৩২) তোমাদের কাউকে কাউর দ্বারা আল্লা সম্মানিত করিয়াছেন, তার লোভ করিও না; পুরুষ যা অর্জে তার অংশে তার এবং নারী যা অর্জে তাও তার প্রাপ্য; আল্লাহর অনুগ্রহ কামনা কর; আল্লাহ সর্ব বিষয়ে অভিজ্ঞ। (৩৩) প্রত্যেক মাতা-পিতা ও স্বজনগণের পরিত্যক্ত মালের জন্য আমি ওয়ারেস স্থির করিয়াছি, এবং যাদের সহিত তোমাদের ওয়াদা রহিয়াছে, তাদের নিজ হিস্যা দিয়া দাও, আল্লাহ সর্ব বিষয়ে দ্রষ্টা (৩৪) পুরুষগণ নারীদের উপর অধিকর্তা তা এ কারণে আল্লাহ একের উপর অন্যের বৈশিষ্ট্য দান করিয়াছেন এবং পুরুষেরা তাদের অর্থ ব্যয়ভার গ্রহণ করে, ফলে বিদূষীরা পুরুষের অনুগত থাকে এবং পুরুষের অজ্ঞাতেও সংসার তত্বাবধান করে আল্লাহর তত্বাবধানের মধ্যে; আর যাদের পরে অবাধ্যতার সংশয় হয় তাদিগে উপদেশ দাও, তাদের শয্যা আলগ কর ও সম্ভাব্য প্রহার কর, এতে অনুগত হইলে অন্বেষণ করিও না পীড়ণের বাহানা; আল্লাহ উচ্চ মহান। (৩৫) তাদের উভয়ের মধ্যে মতবিরোধের আশংকা করিলে তোমরা তার স্বজন হইতে একজন এবং উহার স্বজন হইতে একজন সালিস নিয়োগ করিবে, উভয়ে মীমাংসা চাহিলে তাদের মধ্যে মীমাংসার অনুকূল অবস্থা সৃষ্টি করিবেন; আল্লাহ সর্বজ্ঞ, অবহিত।
{ এরপরে প্রসঙ্গান্তর ও এইভাবে সুরা নিসা চলতে থাকে ১৭৬ টি আয়াত পর্যন্ত। তবে যেটুকু বলার ও যেজন্য এতখানি টোকাটুকি, বেদ ও কোরান, মাঝখান থেকে হঠাৎ একদুটি বাক্য পড়লে হয়তো ঠিকঠাক নাও বোঝা যেতে পারে ঠিক কেন কথাটি বলা হল, কোন প্রেক্ষিতে। এবং কোনো টাইপো বা নিজস্ব বোঝাবুঝি কিছু ছায়া ফেলে গেল কিনা। আমার কোরানটা জামা মসজিদের পাশ থেকে কেনা, প্রকাশক -- বাংলাদেশ তাজ কোম্পানী লি:, ৮, প্যারীদাস রোড, বাংলাবাজার , ঢাকা) আর এমন অদ্ভুত অনুবাদের কারণ, আমার যা মনে হয়েছে, এরা প্রতিটা লাইনের আলাদা আলাদা করে মানে করেছে, প্রতিটা আয়াত লাইন বইটাতে মূল আরবী হরফে, আরবী ভাষার বাংলা উচ্চারণে ও বাংলা মানে এই তিনটে লাইন মিলে বক্স করা । }

ধর্ম সম্ভবত ব্যক্তিগত বিশ্বাস নয়।
ধর্মে বিশ্বাস করে, কিন্তু সেটাকে প্রশ্নের মুখোমুখি করে প্রতিষ্ঠা করার মত জ্ঞানের গভীরতা নেই যাদের, তারাই সম্ভবত ধর্মকে ব্যক্তিগত বিশ্বাস বলে।
অনেক ভেবে দেখলাম দুনিয়ার তাবৎ বিষয় নিয়ে দুম করে তর্কে মেতে যেতে পারি, কিন্তু ধর্ম প্রসঙ্গে গুটিয়ে যাই কেন?
কারন হলো, ছোটবেলা থেকেই একটা অভ্যস্ততা নিয়ে বড় হয়েছি, তার বাইরে কিছু দেখলে তাই আঁতকে উঠি, চোখে লাগে, মনেও লাগে। কিন্তু যেহেতু ভদ্র সমাজে বসবাস করি, ভদ্রমানুষ টাইপ একটা ইমেজ রয়েছে তাই জোর গলায় প্রতিবাদ করতে পারি না, কারন সেই প্রতিবাদকে প্রতিষ্ঠা করতে পারবো কিনা সে বিষয়ে সংশয়ে ভূগি, সে কারণেই অতি দ্রুত ব্যক্তিগত বিশ্বাস নামের নিরাপদ চাদরে জড়িয়ে ফেলি নিজেকে।
এটা নিজের সাথে করা এক ধরনের ভন্ডামি, ভীষন পীড়া দিচ্ছিল অনেকদিন ধরে, চাদরটা ঝেড়ে ফেলা দরকার ছিল।

- ইহুদি, খ্রিস্টান আর মুসলিম -- তিনটি ধর্মই সেমিটিক আর একটির পরে আরেকটি এসেছে। তাই মুসলিমরা ডেভিড, মোজেস, যিশুকে নবী বলে মনে করেন। এর মধ্যে খ্রিস্ট আর ইসলাম ধর্ম অরগ্যানাইজড রিলিজিয়ন। আমার ব্যক্তিগত মত হল অরগ্যানাইজড রিলিজিয়ন আর অরগ্যানাইজড ক্রাইমে খুব তফাৎ নেই। হয়তো সে কারণেই ক্রুসেড হয়েছে।
আদ্ধাতিকতা একটি নিতান্তই ব্যক্তিগত জিনিষ। সেটা যখন অনেক মানুষের সঙ্গে করা হয়, যেমন নমাজ বা গীর্জায় রবিবারের সারমন -- তখন অজান্তেই সমভাবের লোকেদের একটা ক্লিক (clique) তৈরী হয়। যেটাকে মুসলিম বিশ্ব ভ্রাতৃত্ব বলা হয়।
এটা ডেনজারাস। যেখানে উদ্দেশ্য মানুষের ভগবানের সঙ্গে সংযোগ, সেটা হয়ে দাঁড়ায় আস বনাম দেম। আমরা সবাই এই পদ্ধতি ফলো করি কাজেই আমরা সুপিরিয়র। হিদেন বা কাফেররা নীচুশ্রেনীর। মূর্তি পূজা যারা করে তারা নির্বোধ। তাদের বোধ আনার জন্য খ্রীস্টান বা মুসলিম ধর্মে দিক্ষিত কর যাতে গড/আল্লা তাদেরও গতি করতে পারে।
একই জিনিষ হচ্ছে হিন্দু মহাসভা বা আর এস এসে জাতীয় সম্প্রদায়ে। তারা জোর করে হিন্দু ধর্মকে অরগ্যানাইজড রিলিজিয়নে বিবর্তিত করতে চাইছে। কিন্তু হিন্দু ধর্ম ঐ ধর্মগুলোর থেকে আলাদা। রাজশেখর বসু বলেছিলেন, একজন হিন্দু কোনরকম রিচুয়াল না করেও হিন্দু থাকতে পারে। সেটা হয়তো অন্য ধর্মে সম্ভব নয়।
হিন্দুরা রোজ বা প্রতি সপ্তাহে মন্দিরে যায়না। সে জায়গায় বাড়িতে ঠাকুরঘরে একা পুজো/ ধ্যান যাই করার , করে।
আরেকটা ব্যাপার। কেন জানিনা, শিক্ষিত মুসলিমরাও কোরানের সব কথা ডিফেন্ড করার ভীষণ চেষ্টা করে। সে জায়গায় শিক্ষিত হিন্দুরা অনেকেই বেদ ও পুরাণের অনেক অংশকে নিছক গল্প বা অ্যানাক্রনিস্টিক বলে কাটিয়ে দেয়। আজ অবধি কোন মুসলিম দেখিনি, উদার বা গোঁড়া, যে বলেছে হজরত মহম্মদ অনেক ভুল কথা বলেছেন বা কোরানে অনেক ভুলভাল আছে। হজরত মোহম্মদের নামে জোক করলে তারা খুন করার ভয় দেখায়।
বাংলা, হিন্দি সিনেমায় অনেক ছবি হয়েছে, যেমন যমালয়ে জীবন্ত মানুষ বা জীতেন্দ্র-জয়াপ্রদার একটি ছবি -- যাতে যম আর অনেক দেবতার নামে প্রচুর ফান করা হয়েছে। এটা যদি ইসলাম নিয়ে হয়, আগুন জ্বলে যাবে। এটা একটা সমস্যা।
