    এনাকে চাড্ডি বলে দাগানোর আগে দুবার ভাববেন , ইনি কর্নাটকে লোকাযুক্ত থাকাকালীন রেড্ডি দের খনি কেলেঙ্কারী সামনে এনেছিলেন , তার ফলে ইয়েদুরাপ্পা সরকারের হার হয় পরের ভোটে । পরে দুর্নীতি বিরোধী আন্দোলনে টিম আন্নার কোর্ গ্রুপের সদস্য ছিলেন কেজরী , যোগেন্দ্র , প্রশান্ত দের সাথে ; তখন ও আপ হয় নি, ইনি আপে আর যোগ দেন নি রাজনীতিতে আসবে না বলে ।
    এদের মত anti bjp কিন্তু pro India কোটি কোটি লোক আছেন - তারা কিন্তু "ভারত কি বরবাদী তক জং" চলতে দেবে না , "ভারত কি হাজার টুকড়ে" ও হতে দেবে না । ছাত্র রা সেই স্লোগান না দিলে outsider যারা দিয়েছিল তাদের নাম গুলো বলে দিক, তাদের বাঁচানোর চেষ্টা কেন? সেই বন্ধু দের কে কোর্টে পেশ করলে শাস্তি পেতে পারে সেই ভয়ে লোকদেখানো নিন্দে করে কাটিয়ে দেবে ! :-)

    Hegde said he does not believe in the previous judgement of the Supreme Court that says mere talk is not sedition and should be followed by actions, something contrary to law.
    "I don't believe in that judgement. Sedition means propagating some views which are against the nation. As long as the judgement of the Supreme Court is there, I am bound to say its the law of the day today. I am one of those persons who would say that the judgement should be changed," Hegde said, citing events in JNU after the February 9 controversial event, including violence in Patiala House.

  • বিজেপির ধারেকাছে নেই কিন্তু প্রবল "দেশপ্রেম" বা "দেশকে ভাগ হতে কোনমতেই দেওয়া যায় না" এধরনের মনোভাব প্রচুর লোকের আছে, এতে আমিও একমত। বোধায় এধরনের লোকেরাই সংখ্যাগরিষ্ঠ। এনারা যেমন "দেশপ্রেম", "কাশ্মীর" ইত্যাদি নিয়ে মিনিমাম ডিবেটেই যেতে চান না, তেমনি কাশ্মীর ইত্যাদি নিয়ে যাঁরা আলোচনা চান তাঁরা এদেরকে কেমন একটা তাচ্ছিল্যের দৃষ্টিতে দেখেন। দুদিকের কেউই অন্যদিকের মনোভাব বা লজিকগুলো বোঝার চেষ্টাই করেন না।

  • T :d যারা রাস্তায় নেমে মেরে নিকেশ করতে চাইছে তাদের মধ্যে বেশীরভাগ বোধায় বিজেপি-আরএসএস ক্যাডার। এদের বাইরে একটা খুব বড়ো সাইলেন্ট মেজরিটি আছে যারা মোটামুটি "দেশপ্রেম" বলতে হেগড়ে মশাই যা বলেছেন প্রায় সেরকমই বোঝে। হেগড়ের এই খবরটা অফিসে বসে পড়ছিলাম, তখনই মনে হলো কেমন একটা অন্ধ ভক্তি, দেশপ্রেম ইজ দেশপ্রেম টাইপের ব্যাপার। কিন্তু এই মনোভাবের বাইরের লোক আমি অন্তত খুব কম দেখি। এদের বেশীর ভাগ রাস্তায়ও নামবে না আর স্লোগানও দেবেনা, কিন্তু এখন যা চলছে তার বিরুদ্ধেও বলবে না কারন তাদের মনোভাব মোটামুটি এরকমই যে "দেশভক্তি"র ওপরে কিছু হয়না। শুধু হেগড়ে না, মোহনলাল যেটা লিখেছেন সেটাও পড়ে দেখতে পারেন।

  • এটাও হতে পারে হেগড়ে, মোহনলাল ইত্যাদি দিয়ে সুন্দর প্রোপাগান্ডা চালানো হচ্ছে। তবে এনারা নিজেদের তাগিদে কথাগুলো বলছেন, এরকম হওয়ারও কিছুটা চান্স আছে। মোট কথা এদের কথা/লেখা দেশের বিরাট সাইলেন্ট মেজরিটির মনোভাব রিফ্লেক্ট করে (আপনি হয়তো বলবেন এদের লেখা/কথা মেজরিটির মনোভাব বিল্ড করে, সেটা অবশ্য হতেও পারে, তবে আমি শিওর না)।

  • এমনকি কানহাইয়ার কেস দেখুন। ওর বিরুদ্ধে কেস হয়তো দাঁড়াবে না, দিল্লি পুলিশ সিডিশন চার্জ প্রেস করবে না, বোধায় বেল পেয়ে যাবে। কিন্তু ওর মাবাবাকে টাকা খর্চা করে দিল্লি যেতে হয়েছে, বেশ কয়েক সপ্তাহ ওর পড়াশুনো বন্ধ, আর এই শক ওর ভুলতে বছর খানেক লাগবে। আরো ক্ষতিকর যেটা, ভবিষ্যতে পাসপোর্টের জন্য অ্যাপ্লাই করতে গেলে হাজারটা জবাবদিহি করতে হবে, পুলিশ কেন গ্রেপ্তার করেছিল তার সন্তোষজনক ব্যাখ্যা দিতে হবে। এই সমস্ত হ্যারাসমেন্টের জন্য কার বিরুদ্ধে মামলা করবে?

  • মুচলেকাটা কানহাইয়ার। যেদিন কানহাইয়াকে কোর্টে পেটানো হয়, সেদিন সন্ধ্যেবেলাই ওকে দিয়ে এটা লেখানো হয়েছিল। সেদিন ওর মেন্টাল স্টেটটাও বিবেচনা করে দেখিস। একলা একটা ছেলে জীবনে প্রথম তিহাড় জেলে গেল ফর নো ফল্ট অফ হিজ।

    বেরিয়ে তো আসবেই। বাসসির জি-তে কত ডি আছে এখন এটাই দেখার। বসসি ভার্সেস স্টুডেন্টস স্ট্যান্ড-অফ চলছে এখন। বাসসি বলছে, আয়, সারেন্ডার কর। ছেলেমেয়েগুলো বলছে, হিম্মত থাকে তো আবার ক্যাম্পাসে এসে আমাদের অ্যারেস্ট করে নিয়ে যা। করব না সারেন্ডার।

    মালটার আর ঠিক সাত দিন বাকি আছে রিটায়ার হতে। গাধার মত গোঁ দেখাচ্ছে এখন।

    ওদিকে আবার পরিচিত মহলের বেশিরভাগ জনতা, যারা আগের হপ্তায় "বেশ হয়েছে" মোডে ছিল, তারা দেখছি এখন লেখাপত্র পড়ছে, ঠাণ্ডা মাথায় ভাবছে, গণতন্ত্রের কথা নিজেরাই বলছে, মিডিয়া ট্রায়াল আর পাতিয়ালা কোর্ট হাউস দুটোকেই গাল দিচ্ছে। যারা আগেও চাড্ডি ছিল, এখনো চাড্ডি আছে, এই মওকায় 'কোথা হইতে কী হইয়া গেল' দেখে একটু অস্বস্তিতে। জাঠ আর জেএনইউ একরকম সমস্যা করছে - এই প্রচারটা বিজেপি না করলেই ভালো করতো। লোকজন এটা একদম খাচ্ছে না।

  • একটা পাতি চ্যানেলে দেখাল চৌহানের , প্রশ্নোত্তরী ইন্টারভিউ। তাতে ও বলছে যে কানহাইয়াকে মাটিতে ফেলে ঘন্টাখানেক পিটিয়েছি, তিনবার পিটিয়েছি। ওর কাপড়ে চোপড়ে পটি পেসাব সব হয়ে গেছল। ভারতমাতা কী জয় বলিয়ে তবে ছেড়েছি।আসুক না বেইলের জন্য , অন্য অষুধ তৈরি আছে। আর ব্যাটাচ্ছেলে উমর! দেখবেন ওর কী হাল করি! পুলিশেরা আমাদের সঙ্গে ছিল। বলল-- নেহাৎ উর্দি পরে আছি, নইলে আমরাও হাত লাগাতাম। আপনারা ঠিক করছেন।
    কিন্তু আজ অনেকগুলো চ্যানেলে, যেমন সময়, এবিভিপির ছেলেমেয়েরা মেপে কথা বলছে। আইবিএন এ ওরা পিনপয়েন্ট প্রশ্নের উত্তরে বলল--আমরা কে ঠিক করার কে সিডিশন নিয়ে? কোর্ট করবে। আমরা তো বলছি আগে জাঁচ হোক।

    আসলে অ্যান্কর বলছিলেন যে কোন দুটো চ্যানেলে ফেক সিডি থেকে এতবড় কান্ড! দেশকে নড়িয়ে দিল। কী দায়িত্বজ্ঞানহীন জার্নালিজম!

    'Over the past 24 hours, police investigating the raising of anti-national slogans at an event in Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) visited the homes of a number of journalists covering the case.

    One of them is NDTV's Manas Roshan - three plain-clothes policemen turned up, unannounced, at his home at around 9:30 last night. Manas was not present at the time; cops asked his brother, Nikhil Roshan, questions.

    At least three national newspapers - The Hindu, Hindustan Times and Times of India - have reported on the questioning of journalists at their homes. The report in The Hindu says that the police obtained call records of all those who had tried to contact the missing JNU students, accused of sedition. Five of them - Umar Khalid, Anirban, Ashutosh, Rama Naga and Ananth Prakash - surfaced on the campus last night.

    Two days back, a journalist with a web news portal was detained in Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh and was later interrogated in Delhi for calls made to Umar Khalid.

    NDTV journalist Manas Roshan didn't make any call to any of the students who went missing.

    Curiously, cops did not appear to know that he worked for NDTV. When his brother informed them, they expressed surprise and left soon after.

    Police sources told NDTV that journalists will not be bothered again.

    While it is not uncommon for investigators to seek information on cases from journalists reporting it, it is highly unusual for them to arrive at their houses, unannounced, and in some cases, at a fairly late hour.?'

    'If Not Now, then When? If Not Us, then Who?
    The SFI strongly condemns the bogus “council meeting” called by the JNUSU Joint Secretary of the ABVP and thoroughly
    rejects the “resolutions” passed in that bogus meeting. The SFI holds that the so-called council meeting was held in utter
    contravention of the JNUSU constitution and considers this recent attempt of the ABVP to dismember campus democracy
    further as nothing but a thoroughly shameful attempt to gain some cheap publicity. Completely devoid of popular support,
    the ABVP will continue to resort to such tactics to mislead the student community in the campus. The ABVP’s commitment
    (or the lack of it) to the Indian constitution is clear when we consider that even out of the “resolutions” passed in the bogus
    council meeting, there is not a mention of regret or even a condemnation of the violent incidents which made attempts at
    Com. Kanhaiya’s life in the Patiala House court. The SFI states it unequivocally that such brazen violation of the JNUSU
    constitution and the subversion of the democratic processes enshrined therein will not be tolerated by the progressive stu-
    dent community in JNU and the ABVP will face the wrath of the students in the coming days.
    Release Com. Kanhaiya unconditionally, withdraw the Sedition Charges on all the students!
    Unite against the ‘Media trial’ to specifically target Umar Khalid!
    It has been more than a week since Com. Kanhaiya was picked up under the draconian Section 124 A of the Indian Penal
    Code on charges of Sedition. Along with Com. Kanhaiya, comrades Anant, Ashutosh, Rama Naga, Anirban and Umar
    Khalid have been charged under the same “crime”. Media has been specifically targeting and profiling Umar Khalid. The
    SFI holds this step draconian and believes that such attempts were not only undertaken only to terrorize the vibrant stu-
    dent movement in the campus. Ever since the BJP came to power at the center, it has wanted to target JNU for its left-
    leaning political atmosphere and the events of 9th of February, 2016 were used as a pretext to unleash the worst of state
    repression on the student activists in JNU.
    The slapping of sedition charges defies all juridical logic because according to the Kedarnath vs State of Bihar case
    1962, the Supreme Court considerably narrowed the ambit of Section 124A to only hold those matters that the intention or
    tendency to incite public violence as being punishable under this section. Mere sloganeering cannot be considered as a
    seditious activity as stated by many eminent lawyers and lawyer activists. Furthermore, historically the charges of sedition
    have always been used to target political opponents by the party in power with the most recent instance of which was the
    case involving folk sing Kovan who wrote and performed a song against AIADMK led Tamil Nadu Governments propensity
    to promote alchohol as against public welfare. Given these considerations, the SFI demands that the charges of sedition
    slapped on the six comrades be immediately revoked. Furthermore SFI firmly believes that there is no place for a law like
    section 124 A in a democracy like India.
    Revoke the suspension of the student leaders! No enquiry until return of normalcy!
    The recent right wing onslaught in the campus has been multi-faceted in its threats. On the one hand, the students of the
    university had to contend with the murderous mobs of RSS which keep visiting the campus gates everyday seeking a
    shutting down of the campus and the “ever vigilant” Delhi Police cracking down on students for their “crime” of “looking like
    JNU students” while on the other hand they had to contend with the administration which has completely surrendered it-
    self to the BJP led Central Government. Ever since the incidents of 9th February, the administration has acted as loyal ally
    of the RSS in helping it crackdown on its own students. From the draconian blanket permission given to the Delhi Police to
    enter into the campus whenever they choose to crackdown on “anti-national” activities and the farcical enquiry committee
    that was constituted with three teachers owing their allegiance to the RSS to dissuading students from joining the protests on Thursday, the administration has played its part to perfection in the script written for JNU by the RSS. This farcical com-
    mittee has arbitrarily suspended eight student leaders of the university during the enquiry without any rhyme or reason.
    The SFI demands that the suspension of the students concerned be immediately revoked, and a fresh enquiry committee
    comprising of members from the JNUSU and JNUTA, along with representatives from the big schools and GSCASH be
    constituted to look into the matter in a free and fair manner. Such an enquiry should also include the violence perpetrated
    by the ABVP goons on former minister Anand Sharma on the 13th of February, 2016 and the instance of hacking of the
    university library web site and the guilty in these cases should be brought to book.
    Furthermore, the SFI would like to clearly state that any enquiry in this regard should only be carried forth only after return
    of normalcy to the campus. For this, the first step should be that the university revokes the blanket permission given to the
    Delhi police to crackdown on “anti-national” student activities in the manner in which they prefer.
    The SFI appeals to the student community to rally behind the left and democratic sections in the ongoing struggle against
    the recent fascist siege on JNU and continue to strengthen the movement further. What is stake is not merely the future of JNU and also the future of the country.
